"Nobody can stop a natural disaster, we are the cause and we are the remedy."

- Santosh Kalwar

A natural disaster is a strenuous happening of sudden and unfortunate events which are relative to Nature and the disturbed workings of Earth's natural behavior. A natural disaster can take shape of any adverse situation with relation to the Natural forces, such as floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, avalanches, etc., which mostly result in vast damage to life and property.

Such calamities leave the lives of many in dire situations and difficult times. This facet of Earth's behavior is not only dangerous but also leaves a fear of what might come next, because predicting nature's wrath is impossible for man.

In the light of the recent fateful events of Nepal, the CC team decided to present an overview of the five most deathly natural disasters that have taken place in the recent past.

We urge you all to remember these incidents and remember also, that the world needs us to be friendlier to nature, to be more responsible towards the environment. For, it has been rightly said in the opening quotation, we are the cause as well as the remedy.

I am a strong supporter of the notion that natural calamities are nothing but a result of the doings of us humans. However and whoever created the earth, there always had been an act of balance in how it operates. And our unnecessary interference for the sake of nothing, but our selfish motives, and self sustenance, these occur.
We obviously cannot stop them from happening, but we could prevent them with our farsightedness, and for once, not only thinking about the human race, but about the other breathing creatures.

It is time for change in ourselves.
