Why Emon gets no votes from his hometown

I have noticed that ever since gala 1, Emon has mostly been in the danger zone. I remember in gala 6, he sang teri deewani which was the best performance of the evening alongwith Puja's. Even then, he was in the bottom 4. I have read articles which state that Prashant has his region voting for him. Amit too has the support of his region. But never come across an article which states that people of Calcutta are voting for Emon.

What is the reason for this? Is it because many people in Calcutta don't watch the show or just send 1/2 votes or don't vote at all.

Maybe its ONLY people pf calcutta that vote for Emon. That is why he gets such few votes.

I do not think that way. If you see the galas which are held in Mumbai, you can always see the crowd cheering loudly for Emon and saying once more.

Galas everyone cheers for everyone. And they give of the pics of contestants to the audience. Woh koyi khas baat nahin hain.

Probably people from calcutta are busy voting for a contestant from another show who is from calcutta too........

Do you mean Aneek from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa?

even if that's true, it really shouldn't preven them from voting for Emon too

I think AneeK's fab performances in SRGMP week after week is the main reason ......people frm West bengal r more keen to give vote 2 Aneek than Emon....because SRGMP is best platform for a upcoming singer....but i think both r equally good....so they should vote for Emon also.

actually after victory of Qazi & Sandeep people have no faith abt Sony's talent hunt....i also thought so...but 2 most talented singer (ofcourse not Prashant) are in top 3....so people of west bengal pls vote for Emon.

Kolkattan prefer Aneek. He is more versatile than Emon.
Also Aneek is SRGMP bangla champion so have more fans. Also Emon does not have an USP as Aneek has.
Also Emon is NOT as good as Aneek. So, Aneek gets all the votes I think. Even my friends/family are all awed by Aneek's superlative performances.

And Prashant has great support in the hills.

Ya I too have noticed that Aneek is very popular, but II is a different show. It's wrong to compare contestants from different shows.
