So if something happens in close circle friends or in neighborhood, wouldn't close people visit the family or/and the person? Does that mean they support his crime or support him as a friend but don't condone what he did and blame victims?

How does that make them bad. In fact, if they didn't, it would've made them look selfish for not being with them in difficult times As all humans do with their closed ones. It's not like they are fine with his crime, etc.
