Ever since Rajkumar Hirani announced the news of him making a biopic on Sanjay Dutt with Ranbir Kapoor playing the actor, industry has been abuzz about every minute details of the movie. A few days earlier, it was reported that the team is in search of an actress who would play the role of his current wife Manyata Dutt on-screen which was giving Rajkumar Hirani sleepless nights. And now we have Ranbir Kapoor sharing his experience on playing this larger than life character. Speaking about the same, Ranbir said, "There's still time to for the movie. Raju sir is still working on it. Apart from doing a Rajkumar Hirani film, I think what is more challenging is to celebrate Sanjay Dutt's life on screen. The best part is that I know Sanjay sir on a personal level. Sanjay Dutt is one of the most loved stars in Bollywood so it is quite a responsibility to portray him on screen. I will surely do my part as an actor. Ranbir further added, "We are not making this film with propaganda where we are showing Sanjay Dutt as a hero. Through this film, we are showing Sanjay Dutt as a regular man. We want to make people believe that their favourite stars are like them too. That is actually a challenge."
Ranbir also admitted that he missed the opportunity of working with Govinda in Jagga Jasoos, as the actor is no more a part of the film. "It's unfortunate that I missed the chance of working with Govinda. He has been replaced by some other actor but I have huge respect for Govinda sir and will definitely like to work with him again," Ranbir said.On the work front, the actor will soon be seen in Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet.
