I think training is important. I love Parleen and Chang but always found them struggling because they weren't trained. I think with some training they will go far. Whereas there are some trained singers who just doesn;t have it.

I think because of lack of trained singers we missed themes like semi-classical round and always went with item numbers and disco.

yea good point...thats prolly the reason why they chose a theme like disco so late into the gala, when they couldve chosen a better one...not that i minded it too much, since i loved Chang's performance!!!
for me training doesnt really matter that much...if hes good hes good, thats it...

Payal, Don't worry again this week we will hear a varied theme of Disco. From now on various forms of Item and Disco is the theme I guess.

I miss 'jaa re natkhat' and 'laaga chunari mein daag' from last year.

i wish the themes were better...atleast this week its RD Burman songs😃 i would loveee a Kishore Da round or Ashaji/Lataji round...or even something like sufi!😊

I think it is important to get trained. Like a person mentioned in a previous post, K.K one of the leading playback singers in bollywood was untrained, but he himself learnt the technical aspects. In short, he trained himself.

Among the contestants left, I think Emon and Amit can go far. If Emon at 18 years of age and just 1 year of training can match up to a 24 year old like Amit, I think with grooming he can really reach great heights. Same goes for Amit who has the voice quality but sometimes faulters technically. If he grooms himself and learns to correct those small mistakes, he can become a great playback singer too.

I agree - training adds more finesse. But a person must have to be born with a certain talent - not everyone can train and sing well :) I admire those who dedicate their time to training...but at the same time would not underestimate an untrained singer just because he isnt trained.

love ankita's confidence and stage presentation.she brings some kinda spark in the programme.
