Yea given her statements that her private life is hers she probably shouldn't have done the promotional bit with the question "are you dating Sidharth Malhotra?" But I think her intention was more to make fun of that question constantly being asked of her. There is nothing she can do now to avoid it. Unless she starts publicly making out with another man people will continue to ask her about Sidharth and vice a versa, and it will only get worse when it's time to promote K&S.

And for the record, in one of his last interviews when asked about Alia, Sid also responded with "no personal questions."
