She encouraged his intentions and gave him false hopes ( more than what roshni gave him ) that roshni will marry him..
True he knows that roshni loved sid and can't forget him soon but he thinks that right at the moment roshni doesn't love sid anymore ( coz according to him sid is a bad guy and then the mms issue ). Once Roshni proclaims her love for sid out in the open he has to back out then, till then he can enjoy living in his fantasy world 😉
