... I really liked Dabbu and Dylan's first meeting. Yeah it was way different from the book but even so I liked it!
Why?
Because,
a. Leads don't spend too much time ogling each other. That was shown in a very real way- when you fall down next to a stranger, you don't really stare at each other full five minutes. You get up - maybe apologise - and continue with whatever it is you were doing. And that's what they showed :)
b. Dylan isn't immediately "enamoured" by Dabbu. He has a job to do and he is focused on it, not on doing aankhon mein aankhein daal ke full on convo with the heroine.
C. Dabbu isn't too impressed with Dylan- obviously! But she doesn't spare him much thought. Her sister and the ruined dress quickly takes precedence and she doesn't go over the scene 10 billion times in flashback.
d. It's pretty obvious Dabbu will be hosting the show and not modelling. And I think we can expect her to praise Pappi Lee. Which will not go over well with Dylan at all- which actually is similar to the book, where Dylan dislikes Dabbu for mouthing lines given by the corrupt government. Situations may be different, but interactions will be familiar, I think.
So overall I was pretty happy today- although yes, I'll admit I want to have that Moti scene too. Even so, I found some people complaining that the fun quotient was ruined- but so far, I disagree. Today's episode was actually quite funny.
Let's hope for the best and congrats to the forum members for making an entry at #19. Hope AndTV soon gets a place in IF's main page. :)
