Prologue
"And this is how, reproduction takes place".
The biology professor gave final statement of his lecture to the students of class. Some of the bright students were concentrating like their life will remain incomplete without this lecture and some students were themselves busy in being in contact through cell phone and eyes, with their girlfriends and boyfriends planning their own future production. Raghav on a bench in the corner was completely off beat from class and from lecture too. He was there to move on in his life. This was a new college for him in which he has taken admission in mid term for his own reasons. He was moving his eyes towards professor when his eyes got a bluish flash of someone who passed the gate. Raghav's heart skipped a beat, "It was her", his heart said, "but how is this possible", his mind argued. He left the class in presence of professor leaving him shouting behind his back, "Stop! Where are you going, hey listen".
Some students giggled at the scene but Raghav was in no mood to look over anything else than her. He followed the glimpse of the girl who was going invisible again and again behind turning walls of corridor. After running down through staircase he lost the glimpse of the girl and got confused whether to go right or left for her. He had chosen left and luckily he saw the blue suit girl drinking water from the tap of water cooler but her face was still opposite to Raghav that is why he was unable to see her. Raghav's steps and heartbeat has gone slower and louder and a time came when everything around him became steady and still, everything was silent in between only audible thing for him was his heartbeat. The blue suit girl turned and her eyes fallen on him and the moment froze there. None of them was moving or saying anything and then ringing of bell for class over has filled life in their body and the girl took a deep breath and started to leave. Before she could leave while crossing Raghav she felt one strong hand around her wrist.
"Kalpana", Raghav whispered and an elctric current ran through her body when his husky voice fallen on her ears along with his firm hand in contact with her body.
Leave me, Kalpana protested in a low but firm voice with a sharp look on Raghav.
Please! Raghav pleaded as he was pleading for his life. His eyes were creating trembling effect inside Kalpana but she didn't let it out on her face. She left from there pulling her hands off his hand without looking back. Raghav kept on looking at her from behind as someone was sucking life out of his body. Edited by DayAndNight - 10 years ago
