I did not mean to cancel out using men's issues. I responded to your post in which you wrote on men and how you never saw a man being punished.

Dimapur lynching was biggest example of what can a whole town do to a man.

Some men have begun to fear women now and banned the entry of women in their office.

You never know when and what woman could do in name of #MyChoice. Cry foul and play victim later.

I say no one should take this shitty video seriously. Some women have affair with consent but then slap a case of rape. Nowadays even started demanding share in property and maintenance in live in relationships.

I see headless gender wars everywhere. It would be better if everyone got together to discuss rationally what they want or don't want.

Oh and yeah, I don't want cause of masses of small town and middle class women muzzled by these #MyChoice types. All are not itching to sleep around.

If it's your choice then take responsibility for it whether you're male or female. Don't keep shouting at society and state machinery to make all your choices practicable and justifiable.

I don't know where I have written that all men go unpunished . I m sorry if I wasn't clearer with my words. I mean some go unpunished because the society believes its a mistake that can be forgiven and that the woman should forget about it. I have never heard the same treatment given to a woman who cheats. I also said I don't remember the guy being beaten up and shamed in public like the woman was in that one case I read about few days back. because I genuinely don't remember. If anybody finds that case lemme know

Dimapur lynching was biggest example of what can a whole town do to a man.

The case that I mentioned is also an example how a mob can treat a woman and how dangerous it is. Just yesterday I read another case where a huge group of men entered a woman's house and raped her right infront of her family because she refused to donate money to some kind of a traditional festival they were organising. Man and woman both are victims of mob justice in this country.

Some men have begun to fear women now and banned the entry of women in their office.

This is absurd. So if woman start claiming that they are afraid of men in public places, banks and offices shall they be allowed to demand for banning of men in these places ? This reminds me of Indiana and its laws of gay men not allowed and welcome to the owners place. This is discrimination on all grounds.

You never know when and what woman could do in name of #MyChoice. Cry foul and play victim later.
I can say the same for men. They make their own selfish choices and then force the woman to tolerate it because she is a woman.

I say no one should take this shitty video seriously. Some women have affair with consent but then slap a case of rape. Nowadays even started demanding share in property and maintenance in live in relationships.

Some men get married for dowry. Once they get their money they flee the country. I think live in relationships are done with mutual consent. I think a law has been passed where a woman is entitled to it.

I see headless gender wars everywhere. It would be better if everyone got together to discuss rationally what they want or don't want.

I agree. But for that u need the society to mature and learn to see them equally. Or else no conclusion will be fair .

Oh and yeah, I don't want cause of masses of small town and middle class women muzzled by these #MyChoice types. All are not itching to sleep around.

I m sure they are not but even if they do why should you or me or anyone else have an opinion about it? Their life, their body, their decisions.

If it's your choice then take responsibility for it whether you're male or female. Don't keep shouting at society and state machinery to make all your choices practicable and justifiable.

Men and woman both commit crimes and misuse their power. Doesn't mean that we should stop raising our voice for those who are the victims in such situations. Will u stop hoping that a murderer or a terrorist gets punished because someone managed to twist the law and get away with it ? How is it fair to not fight the real victims because someone else is misusing their rights?

I gave you examples of cases but still you say you don't remember any.

I am not here to compare men and women.

I am all for their choices if they take responsibility. If a woman has affair first with consent but then files rape case after things go wrong then it's not done. Same for any man who throws acid on a woman for breaking up.

Violent crimes against anyone are wrong and condemnable. Mindset needs to be changed but not through videos like these.

I appreciate solutions and respect instead of pompous declaration of choices by each gender in a manner that puts down others or promotes questionable choices (sex outside marriage).

I do not believe everyone should have kids. If someone is not sure or has even 1% feeling of not wanting a child then please never have one. Many are fatalistic and think everything will be alright by itself, everything will be managed etc. But this is not so. Often even the parents who think they are well meaning, fail to raise kids properly or deal with problems that children face. Raising children is not everyone's cup of tea. The child relies completely on the parent or caregiver till his mind is fully developed. Merely feeding or providing for the child are not parenting. If a parent is uninvolved, confused, not far sighted and makes wrong decisions then child suffers. Therefore I don't advocate everyone must have kids. It's a matter of another human's life, not to be taken lightly or taken chances with.

So I am okay if anyone opts to not have kids, whether it's s father or mother.

And if someone is this #MyChoice type then please surely spare the child from the instability that your personal choices create, and never have kids at all.

I was just talking abt my exp.I firmly blv that a married couples shud take at least 3 years b4 having a baby. What matters the most is .. do they love and understand each other enough to live their lives together.

Then comes the next question.. shall we have a baby now? 😳 Lot of mixed emotions. But loving couple and family n frnds make it very easy. Awesome exp. Almost like a miracle. 2 love birds become mom n dad.. lots of responsbilities and respect for each other. The new born becomes the centre of gravity. 😃

But I know each individual is diff.. their relationships r diff. and for God's sakes, if they have screwed up relationships, dont even think abt a baby. DONT.

I am talking abt couple here... who need to decide. Not abt the extended family or society.

But the couple involves man and woman. "my choice" needs to be "our choice".

The video could have delivered the msg if only the msg was right in the first place.

It can have "hard hitting serious" tone to it, or "humours, sarcastic" tone to it. It ended up looking like "what was that?DP's new movie called MY CHOICE?". We know it well coz we have disected it... but just show it to a layman..and his/her reaction to it. 😆

I dont wanna bore ppl here to tell howI wud have directed the video.. 😆 but touch of naughty fights, touch of domestic violence, touch how men n women r diff, touch of mom-dad-dauther-son fighting, in the end.. in the end a family with kids..

Is it really "my choice? or ur choice?" they all laugh and say together "its our choice".

Well,if get paid, I can put lot more intensity to it. But...its my choice nottogoin showbiz. 😛

I dont know what the intention was..
the video was comical. It felt like a bratty video saying Its my choice to do whatever the heck I want.. more feminazi than feminism

a montage of pretty woman with a half baked concept

I was very confused over why the video spent so much over sexual freedom... there are so many parts of the society that would be happy to have any say in so many other topics..education, finance, mobility and all they could talk about is empowerment that is completely irrelevant to the majority but would raise eyebrows

Because apparently many urban women are dying to have sexual freedom. They have it all so education or finance are bullshit.

Foreigners and some NRIs seem to love it. And think India should embrace this also.

I wonder how many have idea of life in normal middle class households in India.

It's not like everything is F***** up in India and only Bollywood style/Vogue style life choices can correct it.

Pray tell then, what is the 'context'?

To make a mockery of the concept of feminism entirely?

How would you like your wife having an extra-marital affair and then coming home and claiming that it was her 'choice'? 😆

I'm sure you would have no objections to it, OR maybe a different context applies there. 😆
