Eh... kuch bhi. Dirty Picture came out in 2011, and English Vinglish in 2012. They were not even competing with each other.

But that was the year that 3 idiots came out and it shows that Kareena did not win any award for 3 Idiots at that show . Maybe she won a different award (Zee cine, screen ) but no filmfare. Maybe you meant a different award show ??? But you said filmfare and she did not win anything for 3 idiots at filmfare 😕😕 .

I love Main Apni Favorite scene. I got a T-Shirt with that imprinted on it. 😆 Geet is perfection. That line is like my life motto.

I think the issue was that JWM is a rom-com, whereas Queen is not. It's more of a coming of age type film. Rani literally transforms, whereas Geet doesn't. She has a heart-break and recovers from it. Not saying she didn't do a great job. But the jury sees both differently. Besides, they weren't competing against each other--I think if they were Queen would still win b/c the script was WAY stronger. And the ending was unconventional.

That's what I think as well. The movie makes a difference.

A rom com doesn't even get National Award attention...well...except Saif for Hum Tum but we all kinda know what that happened lol.

I guess competition matters.. When Kareena was in the running, she had such a tough competition from Priyamani.. Priyamani was hands down the best actress of that year... She swept all the awards and rightfully the NA... Ill even pass her the Oscars for her act in that movie.. I doubt there was as much fierce competition for Kangana last year... Even if Kareena happened to be in the final nomination list, she would have never gotten it that year, too bad that Priyamani had to do that role and win critics and audiences alike...

On another note, its not like a huge loss for Kareena if she hasnt won the NA... She is clearly more popular than Kangana and Priyamani today...
