kangana gets it for Queen, but Kareena doesn't for JWM.

why???

it baffles me. so much similarity, specially their roles, how can you pick one over the other...unbelievable.

really mann..these awards are such a sham..aaj mujhe bilkul samaj ayaa.

Maybe the competition was tougher that year. National Awards has a lot of W*F moments...like Saif winning for Hum Tum. Sorry, I still can't get over it.

Honestly, I didn't think Kangana was gonna win the NA, she was good, but I figured Rani or PC or even Tabu for Haider were pretty tough competition.

Competition. That year, Kareena's performance might have had a strong competition from another regional performance and something about that performance might have scored more points over JWM's Geet.

Honestly speaking, I could never say that a certain performance was THE BEST in a particular year, because I might have missed other performances in regional movies. This year, I don't know if there was any equally charming/enthralling performance as Queen's but considering that the other contenders were PC and Rani, I do think Kangana very much deserved it.

At the end, it's all about a particular year's nominations. Some year, competition is cut-throa, sometimes it isn't.

1. There were better performances in the regional industries that year.

2. Kangana in Queen was better than Kareena in JWM.

Kareena should have gotten it for Chameli though, that was the year Kokona won for something right? I felt like that was Kareena's best. Aish should have gotten it for Raincoat too. Oh well.
