Maybe the competition was tougher that year. National Awards has a lot of W*F moments...like Saif winning for Hum Tum. Sorry, I still can't get over it.

Maybe others deserved it more.🤔

Competition. That year, Kareena's performance might have had a strong competition from another regional performance and something about that performance might have scored more points over JWM's Geet.

Honestly speaking, I could never say that a certain performance was THE BEST in a particular year, because I might have missed other performances in regional movies. This year, I don't know if there was any equally charming/enthralling performance as Queen's but considering that the other contenders were PC and Rani, I do think Kangana very much deserved it.

At the end, it's all about a particular year's nominations. Some year, competition is cut-throa, sometimes it isn't.

Kareena should have gotten it for Chameli though, that was the year Kokona won for something right? I felt like that was Kareena's best. Aish should have gotten it for Raincoat too. Oh well.

Kareena in JWM was nothing as compared to what Kangana achieved in Queen.
