Esha Deol and Fardeen Khan are friends again. The one-time buddies drifted apart during the making of Meghna Gulzar's Just Married.

The steamy song Tadap from Ram Gopal Varma's upcoming film Darling did the trick and the two are now on good terms again.

Strange friendship

A Darling crewmember says, "When we began the film with Esha and Fardeen, they didn't even exchange pleasantries. They were going through their scenes and were very professional on the sets.

It was surprising that after having done four films together (Shaadi No 1, Pyare Mohan, No Entry and Just Married) they were behaving like strangers. There was only work related communication."

So what broke the ice between them? "It just happened. Esha accidentally hit Fardeen during the shooting of the song Tadap and Ramu joked, 'Fardeen, that was a deliberate one from Esha'.

Both started laughing at that comment and things were fine between them. The good part is that this happened in the early stages of shooting, otherwise shooting would've been hell," adds the source.

Ran out of matter

Esha says, "I was doing a fast step where I had to move my right hand in circles. There was an error of judgment on either Fardeen's or my part and my elbow hit his chin. He gave me such a stern look that I thought he'll beat me. I got scared but Ramu's comment eased the tension."

Esha admits that they stopped talking after Just Married. However, she claims that there was no fight or argument. "It was just that we had done three back-to-back films (Shaadi No 1, Pyare Mohan and No Entry) together and spoken so much that we knew almost everything about each other. Sometimes, you run out of things to say.

That's exactly what happened to us. Think of it: we become like our roles in Just Married with hardly any communication and a bit awkward with each other," she says.

"I remember if Fardeen used to say something not related to Just Married during its making, I literally used to tell him that I was bored," Esha adds. "It's great that our relation is like the good old days again. That period of cold silence between us is over," Esha says.

That's good...they look nice together in movies, but I really don't like Esha so much!

Sorry, I dont buy this explanation. I have a feeling its more than that. She probably fell for him and he was already comitted... Good to know they are back on talking terms.
