India Forums does allow free expression but that does not entail infringing upon civility and decorum. Members belong to various cultures and have different sensibility and approach and therefore a more dignified approach is needed to cater to them. While expressing your opinion, its not required to abuse the other or demean someone or use uncouth terms. It can very well be done in dignified manner. There have been umpteen names given to women celebrities related to their body parts or artificial surgery processes, is it a pleasant thing to label them this way? Is this really freedom of speech or being unrefined?

BWF does allow lot of liberties and many times the DT have been lenient. In the end its the members themselves who define the liberty or bindings as you term it. The rules are meant for maintaining decorum and avoiding chaos. The DT does take their inputs from members while formulating the rules. The involvement is both from members and DT.

We do welcome suggestions and you are free to pm BWF-DT Or IF DT but avoid creating such open posts.
