Bhula dena mujhe, hai alvida tujhe...tujhe jeena hai, mere bina...

That song from Aashiqui 2 rang in my head when they showed the flashbacks of Rishi committing suicide whilst Sneha was telling their daughters the bad news...Too much to take in as a viewer with just so many questions roaming at the back of my head.

Why'd he do it?

Was that the only option?

The father who loves his family, dotes on his daughters, why did he take such a cowardly step? He knew exactly what the repercussions would be of him killing himself- the troubles wouldn't end right there. His family would have to suffer the consequences...If he had not killed himself, his wealth, his lifestyle, his reputation would have all changed but at the end of the day he would still had his family by his side. I just can't seem to understand why he wouldn't want to face his family... yeah they wouldn't be the 'Mathur's without that wealth and the stigma of being frauds, but that's something they could have worked on as a family.

So was suicide a cowardly step? Yes. However I can understand why he thought ending his life would be better than facing his loving family. The guilt was killing him internally. He put a strong face on externally. It just doesn't justify it enough though. I don't think anything can seeing the loving father he was portrayed as. He was known as Superman- He just didn't live up to the title unfortunately with the move he played.

In some corner of my heart, I was really hoping we wouldn't see his dead body, that way it would give me hope that he just disappeared somewhere and would show up sometime later after the family was settled in their new conditions and would face them then...cause I just can't believe as a strong character he would pull such a move...but I guess the writers had something else planned.

The scene got me though- when he did the Superman pose and decided to jump. Heartwrenching. My mom had to ask me if I was crying, which I wasn't..lol, I just teared up, cause I'm gonna miss the dad. His relationship with his daughters was wonderfully portrayed and so short lived.

Going to miss Sachin Tyagi portraying the dad nonetheless. He was doing such a stupendous job with the role and deserved the appreciation. I do hope we get flashbacks or something of the sort throughout the story as we never got to see Sneha and Rishi's struggles, growing up as parents with the kids, etc.

PS: I have to mention how amazing Gautami was today!👏 Such a power packed performance.

Like your post.👏 Rishi and sneha rock today. I also like hari chachu acting and support today. Rishi posing as super man indicates he is thinking about amaya @ that time. But I don't like his step of suicide. Yes agreed with u that was cowardly step. I feel very bad, almost cry when amaya break down and read her friends msg.

Anita
To begin with I have started enjoying reading ur posts n love to give in my two cents 😃

N yes The scene was well done

Must say Guatami n sachin nailed it to The T 👏

I am sure The circle of life will be complete when his daughters will grow up . I know now things looks bleak but with time it's gonna be fine ..Rishi 's sudden decisiosn to end his life will make his daughters come out in the open n out of the protected n cushioned life ..n make a place for themselves ..

The story n irony of life ...one who comes has to go but still remains arnd in memoriies ...n the people arnd make sure he lives on ...😳

Anita, your post is well written. Actually yesterday's episode only had his impact when I saw rishi committing suicide. Rest of the time due to lack of acting could not get the feel. Tuesday's episode is the one which really hit me. Wdednesday also cause of gautami's acting.
Girls need to really work hard on their acting skills..
