Even she is trying too hard to copy younger anandi, which gets on the nerves, let her have her own character, her own way of speaking, what looked good on avika, as it was natural, is looking forced on her as it all an act.I have seen this kid in a few episodes of Bandhan where she played a negative character, and she never spoke there in the little child voice she is using her. She was perfect and natural in that show, like a normal 11 year old. Maybe that's why i find it more jarring to see her speak this way and try to emulate Avika. Absolutely loved the kid who played the lead in that show, beacuse her cuteness and innocence looked very natural, i think that kid was even younger maybe around 9 or ten, but even she never tried to speak in a baby voice, which this kid is trying to do

I dont watch Bandhan and so I dont know. What I feel is she is forced to emulate Avika and also change the voice as a make over. This girl is not like little anandi. Little anandi used to be a cry baby and many of us used to make fun of her crying at the drop of a hat.

I have not seen Bandhan so I can't comment about her performance there.
I think the major problem is that the makers and channel are trying hard to sell her as Anandi when in fact she is Nandini.

Let Nandini be herself and deal with the situations she is put in her own way.Instead of promoting her as another Anandi and spend so much effort in trying to remind us of Avika just put in some effort into writing and make us believe that she is Anandi and Shiv's little princess. Write scenes where we can see traces of Anandi and Shiv in her.

Sometimes I feel that they are trying to recreate the lead from 8:30 pm show which airs after BV. That little girl is nothing but Anandi remixed.😆

Why creators of Balika Vadhu trying to replicate something which is nothing but a remixed version of their own show is beyond my understanding.

I would put the blame on the writers for not being able to attract viewers attention.

It is very difficult to connect with this Nandini's story. While the connect with little Anandi was immediate this one fails to connect with viewers mainly because of pathetic writing.

Why people expect Nandini to protest?
Does she know any other kind of life other than what she has experienced?
She may see Kundan going to school most of Kundan's school friends are boys
She may not be allowed outside also

As for the violence - Even Kundan's mother is subjected to violence and is subjugated.Only because she gave the family a son she has some say in matters.
Kunda's mother's power comes from the sole fact that she gave birth to a son.

Why would these kind of people be nice to Nandini? They wanted to get their son married off because of some dosh then that plan was foiled and they were stuck with an infant to whom they got their son married off.
That infant and little girl is of no use to them only an extra mouth to feed - so they make her oay for her food
If she rebels - just shut her up and that's the way they all control their women and Nandini is no different.

So Nandini also thinks that's normal because she has seen women being treated like cattle.

She needs to know that there is a world which is way different from the kind she is used to.

Then only she will rebel or run away.

Till she becomes aware of the fact that another world exists she will try to escape into a world of her dreams where she chases sun rays moon beams and loves the feel of water drops on her because these are the only nice things that she knows.

Bearing pain - Making herself indifferent to all the physical pain is the only way to survive will herself not to get affected by it is a survival mechanism.Making light of all the troubles that one face is a defence mechanism a human being adopts.

Her cheerful demenaour is just an adoptive mechanism to combat the difficlties. She doesn't know any other life without these difficulties she doesn't know how to fix these problems in her life and she needs some escape from this reality
The behaviour that we see is just her way of coping with life.

They keep telling us like she is Anandi but she is not or rather her ability to question the circumstances has not yet come out
Only things that are similar to Anandi is that she doesn't let the negativity around her touch her she finds it in her to feel joy in small thiings and her ability to empathise with people who are marginalised like Mangala or the caretaker who is sbjugated by force and brutality.

Unfortunately the tracks and the scenes are so OTT that make it difficult to appreciate her character.

Finally watched the post leap episodes briefly.
The guy playing Mannu looks good. Mannu seems to be a cool positive no nonsense guy.

Liked Shivam a lot! He looks so much like Shiv...guess it is the body language? He's quite cheerful...and trying to keep up promises made to his mom. 😆

Abhi was ok ok. Ganga is silently supporting him in everything and he knows that. no wonder he thinks he's right in all. It is strange that ganga never had issues with Anandi as her sautan . She has issues with kids...and like someone had said she would have had the same issues with Gehna's kids or with Sugna's kids, had they been there. Instead of supporting him and encouraging him in a way, she can try to teach Abhi not to be selfish.

Shashank is doing an excellent job. Jagya could be a little subtle though. Or atleast he could explain Ganga in a nice way why he's behaving that way with abhi. But again it looks like he has a very busy life.

Nimboli looks a bit OTT. It looks like she doesn't have any work to do at home. all the elders seem to take care of the chores. All she does is -- Do mischief - get caught - get beaten - and act like she's bearing up the whole world on her shoulders. That's it😳 . She looks like a forced victim.

Coming to Anandi. Her martial arts school and social service all look like a joke to me. She looks like a refugee still. Though a dignified refugee..😳

Nandini has adapted to her environment but doesn't she have a heart? Doesn't she ever think? Why she never thinks wether They could be world which would be different. Why she accepts what's given? She has to accept but she can alleast think after a point make a desicion to leave that place.

When kundan will try to rape her, she will accept that also.Anandi always had a sense of right or wrong. And she isn't a kid but a teenager.

Anandi grew up in a much healthier environment as opposed to Nandini.
There is a reason why a secure home and loving family are considered to be very important in all round develoment of a child.
Anandi's parents she had a teacher and then in BH Sumi and Bhairon all of them contributed to her growth as a person

I don't think Anandi's and Nandini's circumstances can be compared.

According to the artcle Kundan is developing all kinds of lustful feelings towards her which is natural for his age but the boy has been brought up in a house where the people are even worse and backward then Dsa and they only slap women to make them do what they want.

Jagya also started experiencing all kinds of things for Anandi when he was around the same age as Kundan but he is little more refined than Kundan Anandi was totally unawre of J's changing feelings towards her it was Sumi who found out what J was upto and they sent her away to Bilaria.Anandi was thirteen at that time

This girl only 11? 12 and obviously she too will be unawre of these things because there is no one to tell her.

I am sure this Mangala does something to protect this girl using her Devi act.

I will substitute mind instead of heart. Even animals react to hostile treatment. Why not thinking human beings? If she can react positively, she could have reacted negatively too. Because she is ready to bear physical punishment. She could have even tried to commit suicide by jumping into river waters or by hanging to escape day to day torture.

I was just reading about fight or flight responses in humans
These fight or flight responses are the ones which will enable living beings to deal with adverse circumstances
Nandini's behaviour seem to fit into that fight or flight responses to the situations she has been facing in that house since the time she was baby

agree with you to a great extent. my grouse with Nandini's character has been for the same reason that she could not be a clone of Anandi as Anandi was always surrounded by people who loved her completely, at her mother's place and even at Jagya's place. Whereas almost everyone detests Nimboli at the Akhera household, she would not even had a normal childhood always being taunted by her name and even beat and tortured. thus her cheerfulness seems OTT and her talking like a baby is at odds because a person who grows up in such a bleak enviornment would never talk this way, infact she would being talking in the tone of elders as she is surrounded by them. Also if she dared to play a prank on Kundan, it implies that she must have done so before and is not scared of him, So her whole character is out of sync, this is what i find wrong in her character, yet the channel and the PH are hell bent on promoting her as the new BV

Heathcliff in Wuthering heights was also ill treated. He took revenge which was somewhat satisfying.

Nicholas Nickleby also a reminder of cruelty towards children.
