So, this topic is about controversies in general, mostly the decision makings by umpires/captains, fued between players/ teams, technical aspects of the game as well as human errors... anything that raise the eyebrow or keeps us speechless or angry... lets put all that in this thread. 😊
So far, I will pick few incidents in brief.
- Adharmasena the umpire... when umpire given out to an LBW appeal, the ball becomes dead so runout is out of question. After DRS, the LBW was turned down but he still gave the batsman out for runout ? What? He had ample time to consult his fellow umpire and 3rd umpire but still ... This MF shud be kicked out if he dont retire. I dont want see him in any India game untill then.
- Indo pak match. Akmal was caught behind with faintest of edge, the sniko wasnt conclusive but the ball deviated... acc to commentators, it was 50/50, benefit of the doubt shud go to batsman.. but its wasnt to be. Afterall Dhoni asked for the review.. the reputation.
- Same game, Dhawan was given runout, his bat was on the line when the bell lit up... but hang on, bells has to be dislodged and thats the frame U shud freeze to see if the bat is over the line. Just one frame. The problem with these light up stumps and bells is they lit up at first strike and blurr the vision if the bells r in the air or not. Anyways, Dhawan had to go.
- I hate BCCI for being so cocky, why the f**k they didnt allow Hot spot technology? Its much more reliable than sniko and in conjunction with both, so many caught beind and LBW decisions can be certain.
So, U guys can add any issues U think worth mentioning as the WC progresses. So that those issues dont get burried in locked up threads. 😊
