Why no dedicated mod if a forum is not chaotic?

Dear DT,

Well i seriously dont know where to make this post, so i thought of making it here...well i have some doubts about certain things...is there any rule that a forum cannot have dedicated mods if that forum is not chaotic enough?...i know channel mods are there...i am talking about viewbies , who are actually responsible for looking after a certain forum...besides stopping fights in a forum, looking after that it does not turn chaotic, there are other jobs like sticking important topics, looking after that repeated topics are not opened... off course a forum member can PM the channel mods to do that...but if a dedicated mod is there, the members dont need to PM all the time..weirdly enough whenever we ask for a dedicated mod, the topic is closed citing reason that the forum is not chaotic...i mean its surprising that there has to be fights in a forum to get a mod...having been part of forums which were chaotic and forums which are peaceful, i know there are various issues that members of forums face besides getting involved in fights...people keep PMing to random forum members for doubt clearing, they keep scraping others for help...while that should be done to the person who actually looks after the forum and more importantly who is aware of that particular show...channel mods , as i understand looks after many channels and not a particular show or channel so understandably that person will be busy and cannot remain dedicated to one particular show or channel...i have no issues regarding the channel mod, but a dedicated mod is required...

I know yet again this topic will be closed...but its a request to the DT to please keep this open even after you give your view points...for there might be some counter questions from people and its really a bother to keep opening topics for asking questions related to same issues...

Totally agree with u paro

Sadda haq forum is having loads of new topics everyday and its one of the most active forum on IF

So we need a mod who not only closes topics which are offensive and solving people's fights but sorts out the problems of the members

One of the most important problem is that the video link posted of the epis is wrong almost everyday and there might be tons of other problems

So the concerned person must take action immediately:)

I totally agree with you...

Sadda haq forum being one of the most Active forums is definitely in need of a dedicated mod who could solve all the problems then and there...

the major problem is that the WU are not pin to the top in time... so member find it difficult to search for it.. so they opt for other sites ...

I even came across certain posts which are very offensive but i doesn't get closed because mods are unaware of it.. yeah i know we should report those post .. but its not always possible for members to report each and every posts ..Mods should realize some of those problems by their own ..

I even saw few members making Post in all CAPS which is against forum rules.. I tried to made them aware of it .. But our mods are totally unaware of such post .. we cant report each and every post .. its not possible..

Forum may seem peaceful but the real picture may be completely different .. Mods are unaware of many such things.. and I cant blame them because they are having a huge responsibility of moderating many forums simultaneously ...

So i would request DT to look into the matter ... 😳 and possibly get a solution out of it ..

Hello everyone,

I think Paro is right. CM's are too busy in other forums/sections. They don't only have 2-3 sections to look into. They have around 20 sections to look into. :O
I think, if the Development Team think they could manage SH a very active forum like that, then it's fine for me. But as I am too a part of the Forum, I too think it needs a dedicated mod. That's true that Members asking / pming or scraping Members about their problems, even today, I got around 3-4 pms/scraps of Members who needs help or has problems. It's good that Members help each other yes, but it's difficult for some Members to whom to contact if they have any problems. And yes! Sticking or merging topics are the problem. Members can't find the WU's because it's not stickied on time, and even the Videobie is giving Video links which are 1 year old episodes :O I even commented on a post of the Video links which get sticked, they are wrong links.
Yes, there are many repeated Topics in the Forum which needs to get merged and I can see Mandy is working on them really well, but just being the one mod in a very much active Forum is too difficult.
What is the problem if Members want a dedicated mod?

But still, Development Team need to decide whatever is good for the Forum. :)

Sadda haq being an active forum needs an active mod

There are a lot of topics that aren't closed and the updates of previous days r made sticky but note the recent ones.. I observed it quite a few times

Its not a matter of fights n chaos, it is a matter of laying a convenient platform ... So, a dedicated mod is needed!

Hey guys ,

The issues in less chaotic forums are taken care by the channel moderators or global moderators.In case of less traffic forums , the only threads to be stickier are written update / video update (generally) and these are done by the coolbie or videobie .

If you find any thread against IF COC ,you can report it , One of the GMs or CMs will attend to your issue .

And regarding the doubts , members can PM any one of the DT (does not need to be section DT) and I'm sure they will help the member out , either themselves or by forwarding to higher DT.

Kindly PM Mandy. or any one of the GMs incase of further concern regarding the topic.
