Do you feel Voldermort end, his realizations of his failure, of his mistakes... could have been any differently portrayed ? If so how?
If one chose to ( I however agree and share the thoughts as conveyed in the book and am here considering a diff explanation if possible ), one could perceive that, Voldermort had almost begun to realize his failure, from the moment he realized the wand was a problem ad his conversation with Snape...and his final conversation with Harry , made Voldermort seem, if I am permitted to say... almost an idiot...for not being able to see such things... Do you think.... Voldermort given his powers and abilities, could have been credited with more , so to say... common sense... and logical ... explanations ?

What an awesome question, Well here are my thoughts.

Voldemorts end has been portrayed widely throughout the book and the realizations of his mistakes could have been shown in many different ways, but the downfall of Voldemort was not entirely due to him making mistakes but due to him not realizing his mistakes he had made even when they came around to slap him in the face. For example on the night when he killed Harry's parents he made the biggest mistake, and this mistake is a major determining reason to why Voldemort dies.

In Deathly Hallows we find out what really happened on the night that Voldemort fled. Voldemort had made his way to Godrics Hollow in hope of killing James, Lily and Harry in order to create his 7^th and final Horcrux, but instead when he attempted to kill Harry the Killing Curse backfired and he ended up accidentally making Harry a Horcrux. Voldemort was unaware of this, and this is why he attempted to kill Harry, which he would not have done is he had known what he had done years ago. But… Voldemort should have known about this since that very day and the following quote proves this :
