Why is it wrong to talk back/correct elders? Elders are not always right and they should be corrected if they are seriously/hurtfully wrong.

The difference when Adi does it is that Adi is doing it purely to hurt someone, and is being instigated by Shagun. So technically even though Adi is right to defend his mother, just like Ruhi is right for defending her mother, it is the context (the bigger picture) which needs to be taken into account. Adi does this so he can defame and get rid of Ishita for his mother. Ruhi does it for her mother's respect. That's the difference.

Indian society is wrong in the sense that the elders can never be wrong. I agree, we need to respect our elders, but they are only human and not all of them have changed with the times. They need to be corrected when they have done something wrong. So in this scenario, I support Ruhi. Vandu's saas needs to constantly be put in her place. In addition, i think after her little "good citizen" stunt, she needs to be boycotted from ever attending any Iyer festivity. Toxic and poisonous people only serve to ruin other people's happiness

It is not that Ruhi started talking to balas mom in a rude way just like that.. Balas mom asked for it. When last time balas mom called ishita banjh ruhi asked toshiji what that word means and toshiji told her that it is a very bad word and no one should say this word to anyone. So ruhi knows that what balas mom has said is bad n it will hurt her Ishima n thus she gave a fitting reply back to the old wicked lady 👏

We Don't have to respect people because of Age but because of deeds.This one thing in Indian mentality that I dont agree.Every serial show the same thing that However wrong a elder person is you should not contradict them.Accepting wrong is also wrong.I accept that children should not be rude to elders,but in this case maybe she deserve it. It all depend on the situation.But we should teach the children that is ok to disagree,it is then the duty of adult to tell them pros and cons.A healthy discussion is always good even with the children,and children should tell what they think even if it is disagree.The young generation should be fearless and also compassionate.
