Varun Dhawan is all set to floor us with his badass avatar in upcoming filmBadlapur. The actor is leaving no stones unturned in spreading the word about his soon to be released venture. He was recently seen being a part of a road trip in Pune and has been attending various promotional events as well. But all the frenzy doesn't stop Varun from taking a moment to support a cause. We are talking about the #BeWithBeti campaign which is being conducted to stop the practice of female infanticide. To show his solidarity for the campaign, Varun was seen sporting the #BeWithBeti hastag on his hand, a similar move followed by his former co-star Alia Bhatt, and Bigg Boss 8 winner Gautam Gulati. Alia and Varun were seen posting their pictures on Instagram and we came across a picture of Gautam on his Twitter account. The actors certainly are geared up to show full support to the same along with urging others to join in.
#BeWithBeti was a movement which was started in the year 2006. Where initially it tackled the alarming situation of gender imbalance prevailing in our society due to female infanticide, it now has extended its support to victims of acid attacks, child abuse and other crimes against young girls.
We think it's rather commendable that Bollywood celebs have taken time out to extend their support to this cause. Alia, Varun and Gautam are doing their bit, are you?
