Love this show...
This is an al-in-one SENSIBLE show but at the same time ENTERTAINING...
Sensible -
It has a beautiful story to tell, very strong script , written in the most sensitive way..
It talks about struggles, inner and outer of common , normal human beings.
It talks about moral dilemmas, human wishes, of fear and failure, of love and sacrifice...
AMAZING...
Stunning -
Come on, with the backdrop of Everest shot in a most imaginative way, do I need to say more?
The imagined sets are also perfect, Jodhpur, Anjali, Maithil, Vidhan's houses, army backdrop
Mumbai - Shikha ma's house
Uttraakhand - NIM was a place to go to, but they kept it simple and practical at the same time, it was the most convincing institution for me
Nepal - Namche bazaar , again very well shot
Base camp - need I say anything
And now, the climb itself, the glaciers, the tents, the rocks
Thrilling -
Each episode is crafted with so much care - its just amazing
Every character/actor is given enough screen space - time on screen that they deserve
And the same time, not one minute that is aired feels like a waste...brilliant work
The actors have done a brilliant, convincing job, I cannot imagine Anjali, Aaakash, Arjun, Col, Abhyankar, Chand, Khanna, Shikama, Anjali's mom-dad, Maithili , Mr. Roongta being replaced by anyone else on the show - perfect casting / perfect acting
Last, but not least - THE MUSIC of course, done by the maestro himself, could only capture your attention and leave you wanting it again and again...
LOVE THIS SHOW...
I wish they made more of these - shows that tackled social issues but also physical prowess, inspire the masses and youth alike, which India needs so much...
YES< that's the best part I like about the show - IT IS VERY INDIAN, everything about it shouts out India, it has brought to fore many Indian cultures like gender issues, physical issues, etc...
A Very global thing such as mountaineering has been transformed into a show that is 100% Indian - GREAT!
