I think she was fine if we look at her performance individually but something was missing overall.

only on IF she is brilliant in marykom...otherwise she and her movies are very much overrated..

No where other than IF, is she praised for her act in MK

She was just average in Mary Kom.

Actually, I agree with you for once. When I first saw the trailer, those were my instant reactions - she's overdone herself. But at that time I was just like I won't judge too harshly from a simple trailer.

But when I watched the movie in full length, I felt the same way. I thought she overdid the role of Mary Kom. From what I've seen, Mary seems like a very quiet person and that portrayal of Mary didn't come out the way I saw it. Maybe its just me, I don't know.

I'm really sad that Rani isn't getting the recognition she deserves for her role in Mardaani. Everyone seems to be getting some praise of the sort whether it be Kangana or Priyanka. But Rani's just not getting it. Too sad.

Tahir easily overpowered Rani in the film. Her performance was just above average in Mardaani.

On topic- I found Priyanka to be the saving grace of the film like Rebel said. The way she held the usual North East accent especially in the apology letter scene was awesome. Definitely one of the year's best performances, let down by a terrible script.

My wife can knock her out in first punch.. that candle. 😆
