There was a phase when I was glued to it and dreamy. Then there was a time, when I was full of frustration. Then came hope for a little time. Then again there was a time of disappointment and dissolution. Finally detachment. SSLK made me go through the phases of teenager in its own way😆.
My interest towards RaBir was at peak during Holi episode. When I heard the news, makers are getting Kabir back to the show, did not feel like turning on to the show again. It only reminded me of the maker's betrayal to the viewers. But finally when the show is bidding adieu, I want to cherish only the good moment.
Thank you SSLK for giving us Rachna, a girl who was not a superwoman, a girl with a weak heart and big dreams like all of us. You gave us a girl with whom we could identify ourselves. Yes, you ruined her tracks. You made her forget every man in her life the next day. Still somewhere, she touched us. That is the reason we kept on accepting her, even though you kept changing the men in her life (I feel bitter for the real reasons behind it. But I have decided not to speak about them and spoil the goodbye post). When I felt the limit was crossed, a shy girl was made to look like a despo who just wants to flirt with her boyfriend, I withdrew from the serial. It's ironic; the show which celebrated all her engagement and marriage breaks, did not have the time to show the successful one 😕.
But still I would cherish the initial Rachna. An obedient girl from a conservative family, who still dared to dream big about playing Hockey and who had a weak heart towards her principled coach ☺️ defined the essence of the show for me; Ladakpan and naadani of a shy girl.
On contrast there was another bold girl who does not shy off from her love, who realises in a hard way; love is not only about attraction, but also about trust. She showed the other phase: Ladakpan and naadani of a bold girl.
Afterwards, the ladakpan in the show ended. It got entangled with making and breaking of marriages at the last minute and creating an "iconic character" with Samaj Seva tracks.
Whatever it is, with all my complaints I want to thank makers of SSLK in my last post. You gave us Rachna, thank you.
