Ravi told us, "The current track in Jamai Raja is showing how my on-screen wife (Nia Sharma) is angry with me. Till now, my on-screen character was pretending to be a middle-class boy and now she knows that I had been lying, and in reality, happen to be a rich business tycoon. After this, she has started living separately and I'm trying to woo her back. Recently, I shot for a scene where my character is standing in the rain outside her home, pleading to her to forgive me. We shot the scene in Naigaon in Mumbai at night. It was quite cold there, but I had to get drenched in the rainwater. The water was ice cold! There was one set of clothes that I had to wear throughout the scene. It was a task shooting for such a sequence where I was drenched for close to five hours. We wrapped up the shoot at around 2am. Since it went well, I was quite happy."

Ravi said that he was thankful that he didn't fall ill after the shoot. "As soon as the shoot got over, I sat in a bathrobe for 20 minutes near a fire that the production guys lit and only then did I feel better. It was God's grace that I didn't fall ill after shooting in the rain at night when everyone else on the sets was in their warm clothes," he added.
