Considering how many promos the channel shows for their utterly stupid shows, it is a travesty of justice that their once flagship show and the channel's best ever hero did not get the promotion they deserved for one of the most important tracks of the show. The track was so poignant and dramatic, it was tailor made for saturation promos, if for nothing else than for high TRPs.

Even Basan't death got more extended promos than the hero's death.

I think that promo did convey everything Shiv valiantly fighting the terrorists actions of those terrorists bringing in turbulence in Anandi's life

I suppose their idea was to show how terrorism is destroying everything - Highling the destruction that terrorism causes in the lives of innocents here Shiv and Anandi the innocent people whose happiness is destroyed forever
That's why that promo was disturbing. It was destroying the lives of the ones we loved.
Goodness and valor don't seem to be enough for fighting terrorism

@aparna. I said promotion by which i meant frequency. They should have carpet bombed us with the promos. Far from it, it was shown once in a way unlike the flooding we see for all other completely inane shows. That said, the promo itself was sensitively shot.

Perhaps you and I took away a lot from the promos because we already knew what was coming. But as an ordinary viewer, i couldn't have guessed from the promo that something as gargantuan as Shiv's death was coming. It was a bombshell of an ending. An ordinary viewer has seen Shiv fight goons and terrorists before and couldn't have known what was coming.

That's always been the case with BV.. Good tracks but 0 promos! That's the main reason BV is not able to garner trps.. What do cvs and the channel think that without promos the show will garner TRPS?
Agreed Rohini, just by seeing the promo I wouldn't have anticipated as a big shock like Shiv's death but would just have thought that as usual the hero is shown in danger and in the end he would emerge out victorious!!

Do you remember the build up to sugna's husband's death? The whole Tv viewing world watched it in shocked anticipation.

Production house killed Shiv but they gave him a hero's death.

Channel didn't. My view.

Rohini - yes they haven't aired them as often as they air the promos of their other shows. That's for sure
Actually I was surprised to see that they made promos specifically for these tracks.
Couldn't believe that channel has suddenly taken interest in the show to air promos in the first place

The promo didn't make it clear what was going to happen with Shiv at the end, but they already changed the montage to let the viewers know that he's going to die. I would have preferred a clearer promo though

And changing the montage way in advance was a bad idea because whatever little suspense/ curiosity you can create in the mind of audience also gets lost as people know that the hero will die now!

Yes, aparna, we should be grateful for small mercies.

This is so real life-like. People salute you when you are on top and couldn't care less when you are down. Even if you have contributed so much to what they themselves have become. As they say in Hindi: ugte suraj ko sabhi pranam karte hain"

Three years ago, Channel went to town on the death of a side character in BV. Today it is matter of fact about their only real hero's exit. Obviously, he was too much of a gentleman to be able to compete with snake charmers and ghosts.
