Sid on the other hand felt bad…maybe he had been a bit too harsh on him…

Sid – Jai who was the girl in the coffee shop…as far as I know you never believed in more than one girlfriend at a time…unlike me…

Jai tried to laugh – so you are back…I was surprised for a minute….

Sid grinned – yeah got carried away…but I was and am mad at you…now common spill it out…

Jai – aare she is an Inspector…I was leaving office to pick up Bani when I got a call from the police station….

Sid surprised – Police station….then his eyes dilated….Tarun….

Jai nodded….

Sid – the freaking Bast*rd….did he spill it all….

Jai told Sid all that happened in short….but I will go into flashback…..(yep getting inspired by KS and Ekta) I am gonna do the verbal and the thoughts of the inspector simultaneously….the thoughts will be in brackets…I hope you wont get confused…

Jai finished all his work and was ready to leave…he put the files to one side with a smile….it was time to go and pick up Bani…the moment he waited for these days…the moments he spent with her were the highlights of his days…he got up exited….the phone rang…and he cursed Graham Bell….his short fuse going off…

Jai rasped into the phone – Hello…

A childish female voice from the other side – can I talk to Mr. Jai Walia….

Jai – Talk…

Girl a bit confused – Is that Mr. Walia…

Jai – yes god Dammit talk now…

Yes this was defo JW….The girl on the other side was standing….she had to hold the corner of the table to keep standing…..she wanted to faint….she thought 'no I cant faint…not now…I am on duty for god sake'

Jai frustrated – I don't have all day…speak up, will you…

The girl stammered – aaahhh….Mr. Walia…..this is Inspector Navneet Singh…I am calling in conec…

( yes it is Navs…she is the inspector…now stop laughing guys…she can be serious sometimes…tho I hav not seen that as yet but I am sure she has the potential…lol)

Jai cut her off, his frown increased – you gotta be joking me….you sound like a 6 yr old…so cut the crap…

Navs a bit hurt – I can't help if my voice is like that…I…

Jai a bit uncertain now – all right then….Go on why have you called….

(Navs :oh the great JW is not angry….there is hope for the rest of the world after all)

Navs in a hurried tone – Mr. Walia, it's in connection with Tarun Sablok….she heard his groan…..one of the neighbors saw you at his place….before he was found all broken…

Jai cursed quite blatantly…forgetting the girl on the other side…

(Navs: oh god even when he curses he sounds so heavenly…only if I could hear him curse all my life…)

Navs suppressing a giggle at her thoughts – language Mr. Walia….

Jai embarrassed - oh I am so sorry…I just lost it there…(Navs: I love it when you loose it)….and I am sorry for being rude to you earlier…..I thought it was a prank call…

Navs – It's alright…I can understand…you must be getting lots of prank calls….and why not, you are so hubba hubba handsome….

Yes she said it…then quickly placed her hands on her mouth…now she was loosing it….

Jai was not sure he heard right – Excuse me…

(Navs: squeeze me…am I really talking to him…some one pinch me)

Navs – Aahh Nothing…nothing…was just thinking aloud…

Now Jai was sure he had heard right…he smiled….he was quite used to the admiration the young ones had for him…

Jai –you think quite weird…then he laughed…. so tell me what you want from me…

(Navs: hey Ram wot a question….just wear black n sit in front of me so I can drool…that's all that I have ever wanted…)

Navs – ah what would I want…nothing…

Jai calmly – Inspector…you are forgetting that you called me regarding the Tarun case…

(Navs: tarun bole toh…ah yes Tarun sablok…damn this man will get me suspended)

Navs – Ah yes Mr. Walia you need to come to the police station…I need to submit an FIR….

Jai frowned…now this could be messy…and he had to go pick up Bani…

Jai – can I come in the morning…I have an appointment…

Navs – Mr. Walia this is important…I think you come here first…I am at Ghatkopar police station…(Navs now don't ask me why ghatkopar…mughe ye naam acha laga..lol)

Damn that was far…Bani stayed in Antop Hill…but he would manage…traffic would be low…

Jai – all right inspector I will be there in ten minutes…

Navs – I'll wait…

Jai entered the police station and went towards the door which had Inspector written on it…it was those half doors which go flip flap…arre it's always there in all hindi movies… Navs saw him enter…wearing all black…her dil went mmmmmmmm……
as he was in a hurry he entered n then the door flapped on him n he stumbled a bit….

(Navs: aye chora zara nach ke dekha, zara thumka laga, zara nach ke dekha
naughty naughty si fiza hai, haule haule se dil mein chali koi hawa hai)

Jai – Hi I am Jai Walia…..

Navs mumbled – and I am dead….

Navs expression was something like this… (Navs don't kill Me)

Jai confused – sorry I didn't get that…

Jai – I am here to meet Inspector Navneet Singh….

She stood there staring….not saying anything…just staring…Jai clicked his fingers in front of her eyes to bring her back on earth…

Jai – excuse me…can I see Navneet Singh…

Navs ko thoda hosh aaya…

Navs – you are seeing her…I am Navneet Singh…

Jai a bit surprised – oh Hi…

She gave him her hand and he took it in a strong grip…

(Navs: chhodo na choda na baahein marodo na ho jaaungi mein khafa

Jai saw the little wince, he loosened his grip – oh did I hurt you…

Jai sat down…Navs saw him suppressing a grin…

Navs – share the joke…

Jai laughing, shaking his head – sorry…it's just that you look like a kid in a police uniform for a school fancy dress competition….

Navs sulked – excuse me…I am not a kid…

Jai waved his hand, giving her his brilliant smile – sorry I didn't mean to offend you…

Jai – all right shoot…

Navs took out her gun and pointed at him….

Jai teased, his hands raised in the air – hey hey…you should not be playing with those things…goli chal sakta hai…

Navs put the gun back grinning – Khali hai…I just got it today…

Jai – damn I was scared for a minute…

Navs – you and scared that would be the joke of the year…now should we get down to business…

Jai – that's the reason I am here Inspector Singh….

Navs – Navs…call me Navs…all my friends do…and can I call you Jai…

Jai shifted uncomfortably in his chair – sure if that's what you want…I don't mind…

Navs – all right now that's settled…lets move on…What were you doing at Tarun's house so late…

She saw the shutters go down….his eyes which had a humorous twinkle till now were cold…

Jai quietly – he is my lawyer…

Navs – and a friend…

Jai's hands hit the table with force – No dammit he's not…

(Navs: Hey Ram *Faint*)

Navs looked straight into his eyes (waise aur kahin dekha bhi nahin isne abhi tak…phir bhi…thoda effect to dena padta hai na)

Navs – relax Jai…now you have to tell me everything…I get a feeling you worked on him…

Jai was quite…

Navs – common Jai…you can trust me…

He looked at her intensely…trying to gauge her…trying to decide if he should or should not…his one eye blinked out of habit..…

(Navs:ankhiyan na maar mere yaar mundeya, tainu nahi karna main pyaar mundeya mere dil se o dewaane nhin khelna...jaa ve jaa ve jaave mere dholna nhin…bholna)

Jai – Why should I trust you…

Navs – because I will never want any injustice done to you…ok let me explain…I have know you since I was a kid…I am Anu's friend….we went to the same school, college, then I joined the police academy…I know your whole family…I was there on holi…maybe you didn't notice…

(Navs: waise you never notice…you are such a big time arrogant khadoos…but I still luv you)

Jai – damn I thought you were familiar…have seen you before…just could not place you…

(Navs: so he had noticed….not bad…aaj main upar aasman neeche, aaj main aage, zamanaa hai peeche …)

Jai continued – I did not say it coz it's the cheapest pick up line….

(Navs: haila tumhe ye sab bhi aata hai…I wanna faint…pani pls)

She blushed…

Jai – sorry I have embarrassed you…

Navs – no no it's fine…so are you going to tell me…

Jai was quite for two minutes…god this was gonna take long…he would not reach on time to pick up Bani…he felt frustrated…but made up his mind…

Jai – can I make a call first…

Navs – sure….

Jai moved to one side to make the call to Bani….

Navs looked at him…so he was going to tell her…he trusted her…

(Navs: aaj main khush huun lo tum hi bolo main huun khush kyuun
jaldi jaldi bolo chalo)

The phone on her table rang…she talked and then called out to Jai…

Navs – Jai….

(this is where Bani had heard….over the phone n she had a lil doubt creep up…Navs ye tune acha nahin kiya…)

After talking to Bani Jai came and sat down…

Navs – Jai that was the hospital…they want me to come and take Tarun's statement…but I will go after I know your side…

Jai told her everything…from the start to finish…about Tarun selling the doc…him going to meet Tarun and then the comment he made on Bani….

Navs confused as ever – Who's Bani…

Jai hesitated for a moment – My girlfriend….actually my fiance….we are soon getting married…

(Navs: mere toote huye dil se, koee to aaj ye poochhe, ke teraa haal kyaa hai…ke tera haal kya hai..)

Navs could hear the sound of breaking glass…she knew it was her heart…he had been her childhood hero…he was sitting in front of her and talking about his fiance….Bani….gggggrrrrrrrrrr

Jai continued – it's a bit hush hush…I don't want the media or anybody to trouble her…she is my PA…

(Navs: aare iss police inspector main kya kharabi thi…bas PA ka PI ho jata…)

Jai – she is not my PA by choice but due to some circumstances…and I bless those circumstances…

(Navs: circumstances bole toh…waise ki pharak paenda jab chidya chug gayi khet…koi bhi stances ho)

Jai – now you understand why I did what I did….

Navs suddenly felt more respect for the guy…yes any man with backbone and self respect would have done the same…

Navs – of course Jai…and I don't blame you for what happened…you don't have to say all this in the FIR…you just say, you went to get some legal papers signed and then you left….

Jai – but that's a lie….

Navs – to aap kya harishchandra ki aulad bana chahte hai…you want to go to Jail because you beat up a scumbag…

Jai smiled – No not at all I will do as you say….

(Navs: ab kya fayda in dilouges ka…)

Navs shouted for the hawaldar – Hawaldar Sanam Singh….

( ok stop it guys…you all know I don't let my munna out of my sight…Jigs ke bhi saath nahin choda tha…)

The Hawaldar came… he checked Jai…smiled…Jai squirmed under his gaze…

Navs – Sanam Singh…wo FIR tayar karo jaldi…aur ye tum jo bahar khade ho kar hamari batein sunte ho ye band karo…

Sanam Singh – wo sir…I mean madam…main to bas bidi pi raha tha…

Navs – Police Station ke andar bidi peete ho…sharam nahin ata…

SS – Sir…I mean madam…ata hai…thoda der ke liye…phir sab theek ho jata hai…

Jai laughed….

Navs – shut up and get out…

SS – ji sir…I mean Madam…

Jai stopped him – suno…tum wahi ho na jo thode dino pehle Hospital main mile the…wardboy…

SS thrilled – Nahin Saab wo to mera twin hai…twin bole toh mera Judwa…

Jai – Twin pata hai mughe…

SS – haan saab aap to phade like ho…

Navs – Sanam Singh jao…

SS – Ji sir….I mean madam…

He left…with the file to make the FIR report after Navs gave him the brief…

Jai – how do you handle them…and the bigger question is….how do you handle hardcore criminals…

Navs blushed – actually I don't know …you are my first case…I just joined today…

Jai was hit by a missile – OMG I hope I don't become the last….

(Navs: kash aisa ho sakta par tum to dhokebaaz nikle…pehle se set)

Jai - so I think I can go now….

Navs – yes of course…but Jai you understand things will be different if Tarun gives a statement against you….

Jai had a frown….he understood that perfectly…he could be arrested…and then long court case…and if Tarun took Bani's name…his face became black with rage….

Jai – yes I know…look will you let me know after you get his statement…Please…I will be at my hotel there is a party there…

(Navs: pata tha pata tha mughe…party hi karte ho tum log sara waqt…ye nahin ki mughe bula le…chalo koi baat nahin…tumhari to setting ho chuki hai…haye it hurts…)

Navs – yeah I will ….just sign the papers while going…

Jai went and signed the papers that SS had made…SS kept grinning at him…and Jai left quickly from there…it was late and he straight went to the party…and as we all know he got the call during the party….he had moved away from Bani to take the call…

Navs – Jai I have the statement…I am here at your hotel….in the coffee shop..

Jai - ok I'll be there in 5 min….

Jai entered the coffee shop and saw Navs sitting near the window…he went and joined her…(again not his fault…Navs baithi thi window ke paas aur Bani ne dekh liya)

Jai – hey that was quick…

Navs – he didn't have much to say…

A waiter bought coffee for them…well it was his hotel, they did not have to take order…they knew his taste..

Jai – is it good or bad…

Navs – he said he fell down from the stairs…

Jai heaved a sigh of relief…he had not been worried about himself…he had been worried about Bani…he did not want her name in all this…

Navs – and after his statement…..I warned him not to go near you or Bani…else he will not end up in the hospital but in the lock up…with rats and all the works…

Jai laughed – so you got your first Victim…you must have scared him…

Navs grinned – yes he was…I am so proud of myself…

Jai put his hand over Navs in a friendly manner – Thanks Navs…I owe you one…

Navs – no need for that Jai…all part of my duty…

Before Jai could say anything the floor manager came to them…

Floor Manager – everything ok SiRRRR

Jai looked up, she was wearing her cap ulta…

Jai – straighten your cap miss…this is a five star hotel not a dhaba…

The girl - yes SiRRRR

Navs giggled – stop it Samu…

Jai looked quizzically from one to another – Samu…do you know each other…

Samu – Yes SiRRRR

Navs – Jai this is an old friend…Samu…she is doing hotel management and is training here…..

Sam – That's right SiRRR

Jai – that's good…but what's with the SiRRR

Navs – oh don't mind her she is mad…

Samu – Jai I will tell you…we call her Mrs. SIR…coz she is crazy about Salman, Iqbal and Ram…

Jai – Ram who…

Samu going total filmy – oh the hot handsome hunk of Television Ram Kapoor…

Jai had thrown back his head and laughed – I think all of you are crazy…

(Bani had been watching all this)

Samu n Navs together – Yes we are…but for Ram…hey Ram….

Jai got up – look I must go now…I am getting late…but Navs thanks again for coming here…and Samu if you have any problems here, come and see me straight away…

Navs – no problemo…I had to come n meet Samu and her boyfriend Veer…who works next door…Veer is the reason Samu chose this hotel to do her training…you must keep a check on her…pata nahin kabhi kaam bhi karti hogi ki nahin….

Jai laughed and left with a "I will…I will"

Samu gave Navs a punch – You had to tell him about Veer,,haan…apna rasta saaf…

Navs pouting – nahin re he is engaged…koi fayda nahin…

They both look at each other then laugh…put there hands on each others shoulder and go out singing….

They hear a male voice – who broke your heart…

They both look back…

Navs – haye haye Bhai guess who we met…Jai Walia…my dream man…

Samu – our Navs our…sharing is caring…

Navs – ok ok our…

Man – acha ab ghar chalen….

Navs – Bhai are you not jealous…Samu met her dream man…

Man – Navs never believe what she says…and no I am never jealous coz I know I am her dream and reality…right Sam…

Samu – Get lost Veer…

All three laugh and leave for home…

Ok guys that's it…it's again 10 pages haila…10 pages of Navs n Jai…I don't believe I did this…actually I hav not been keeping well may be it's the bug…
The story was getting too serious for my liking…so as had to clear the raaz of the mystery girl of the coffee shop so thought of doing it like this…I hope you guys liked it…I had great fun writing it…I was just imagining Navs expressions…and LMAO…just imagine if Jai did go to jail…this is how it wud be…Inspector Navs watching over her jail Bird

Navs I hope you will forgive me if I offended you anywhere…dint mean to…was just having a go at you…haila but you n Jai…10 pages….*Faints*

🤣 it's so hilarious and instead of Navs this time I fainted cos kyon ki main itne saare ROFL jo ki. Great part as well. Songs were fabulous. So Tarun told that he fell from the stairs. Missing JB a lot. Please continue soon.😊
