The real reason behind Ayushmann's exit from 'Udta Punjab'

As reports of Kareena Kapoor getting Ayushmann Khurana replaced in 'Udta Punjab' have been doing the rounds, the actor was asked about this at a promotional event for 'Hawaizaada' today.

Ayushmann stated that he is currently saddled with promotions of his forthcoming aviation film, and is also shooting for 'Dum Lagake Haisha', for director Sharat Katariya. Therefore, he didn't have the dates for the Shahid- Alia- Kareena starrer.

He stated the date clash as reason in his interviews, even as he seemed to brush off enquiries about the film at the general press meet.

Abhishek Chaubey's next project "Udta Punjab" will now feature Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan. Ayushmann's replacement for the film is yet to be decided by the makers.

Hawaizaada on the other hand, is all set to release on Jan 26. It is directed by Vibhu Puri and stars Mithun Chakraborty, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Pallavi Sharda in pivotal roles.
