Memory Loss of Abhi ??

Today During Abhi-Aanchal meet . Abhi gets angry and clearly tells Aanchal that he doesn't know her at all ? But the way Aanchal had all tears in her eyes & when shesays " Main tumhaari Aanchal hun " That indicated that Abhi too knew Aanchal and might be in love as well .

So Can it happen that Abhi coz of some accident might have forgotten her and the whole time when he would have met Aanchal ? Remember During Aanchal's introduction she says "Kahan Kahan nahi dhoonda tumein Abhimanyu " ..So May be Abhi might have met with some accident two yrs ago and forgot her & Aanchal might be thinking with in this 2 yrs that he died .

What u guyz think ? Can this be the reason of Abhi not recognising Aanchal ?
