She finds it hard to trust someone,
She's heard the words cause they've all been sung.
She's the girl in the corner,
She's the girl nobody loved.

Prayga Aurora had never been anyone's first choice.
She simply wasn't the type to be.
Quiet. Unassuming. Compassionate. Tolerant.
These were all words that described her.
But the one word that probably described her best was - Invisible'.
Once upon a time, Trusting' was another word that had fit her. But then reality had given her a much needed kick in her proverbial balls.
A dowry claim at her marriage mandap.
An engagement catered to by pity, and a misplaced sense of duty.
A farce of a marriage to the country's biggest rock-star, because he thought she was the girl his sister had just been dumped for.
And today?
Today the last bit of trust she had, the secret little corner of her heart that wouldn't let go of hope for the impossible had finally caved in.
Three months ago Daadi and Ma had finally found out about Tanu.
It was sheer luck that neither of them had had an attack again. It was also a sign that it was finally time for her to let Abhi go.
This wasn't fair anymore. Not that it ever had been, but now with no excuse... no reason to hold on, it wasn't fair. Not to him and Tanu.
And not to her.
She was used to being the wrong sister by now. But being the other woman in your own marriage was a bit much.
Definitely a kick in the balls.

But I can't, I can't, can't stop thinking about you everyday,
And you can't, you can't,
you can't listen to what people say.
They don't know you baby,
Don't know that you're amazing,

He couldn't stop thinking about her.
Literally.
Everywhere he went, everything he did, everywhere he looked - it was as if she left a silent imprint of herself everywhere.
He'd tried everything by now.
They had had three months to put their affairs in order' as Aliya called it.
Yet, somehow, for some indefinable reason he couldn't let her go.
He'd watched her almost leave half a dozen times by now, and yet the thought had never left him with the soul shaking fear it left him with today.
Today wasn't a pretend marriage, or a temporary measure with Daadi as a failsafe.
Today was real.
Today was the last time they fought over who got to shower first and who got to choose the morning music.
Today was the last time he'd get to call her Chashmish and the last time she'd roll his eyes at him as he did.
Today was calm rational discussions, and pointed reminders.
Today was Press Conferences and Legal Teams.
Today was permanent - and that above all terrified him, not because of he was afraid of the change or the fallout.
But because simply put he didn't want it. Any of it.
He wanted her. He wanted them.
His hands silently clenching around the thin sheaf of paper his lawyers had handed him hours ago, Abhi slowly stood up, as if the power of his realization had forced him to his feet.
A calm settled over him as he did.
He wanted her.
All he had to do now was convince her of that.

But I'm here to stay.
