After Isha Talwar and Abhinav Shukla, alleged former YRF AD slams Shanoo Sharma; says, 'She will break you...'

The box office success of Saiyaara brought Shanoo Sharma back into the limelight. Known as one of India’s top casting directors, Shanoo Sharma has been a part of YRF since years now. As she spoke to the media about the success of Saiyaara, and how Ahaan Panday waited for years to get his debut film, actress Isha Talwar called her out. She said that ten years ago, Shanoo Sharma asked her for an audition for a crying scene in the middle of a crowded restaurant in Versova. She said she was told that an actor should have no inhibitions. Isha Talwar said as a newcomer she did not understand why would anyone make her do something so weird.

She said she put her foot down, and left the place. Isha Talwar said people can easily hire spaces, and take auditions there, especially a production house as big as YRF. Now, she has shared a screenshot of a comment from an associate who was apparently also an AD for a short time in YRF. The other person echoed what Isha Talwar had said about Shanoo Sharma. Though the person did not reveal his or her identity, the note stated that while she had met many bad people in the industry, Shanoo Sharma allegedly topped the charts.

Abhinav Shukla also said that Shanoo Sharma told him that he lacked the spark needed in a Bollywood actor. He said later he gave an audition for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshaallah who said he was impressed by his skills. He said he wondered why he did not get more work in the industry. In Gangubai Kathiawadi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had cast TV faces like Varun Kapoor and Shantanu Maheshwari. Both of them got their share of appreciation. While Ahaan Panday is being immensely liked for what he did in Saiyaara, it looks like Shanoo Sharma’s interviews have not had the desired effect.
