MB, Sweetheart..I hope you dont mind being addressed with cheesy endearment Because thats the first word came to my mind when I read your fiction "Second Chances". Before I go any further let me introduce myself.
My name is Deepthi, ArShi writer but not much of a reader. Only because I feel reading others' work would influence the characterization of my own stories, I refrain reading others work. Having said that, I am not sure and dont remember how I stumbled upon your work. I was apprehensive to read it at first as I sort of guessed the plot from the title.
But after reading the way you introduced Arnav and Khushi, fell in love with the story instantly and I am hooked for your writing, the small gestures you describe is so surreal to read. Make no mistake the only other FF that hooked me to my roots was the Late Spring by IPKJenny. After that I read many works and discontinued for the lack of apt characterization.
But I am not planning to leave Second Chances, not anytime soon. Only because Your every word captivates the readers. At the end of each chapter, I have to admit I said to myself at least once, that you are gifted with words and your storytelling is amazing with a beautiful fluidity. You are one of the very very very few writers who has the knack of turning something simple into exquisite piece of work.
I am a sucker for Arnav/ASR of good morals in any story but this probably will be THE first story I can say I am in love with Khushi. There is this strange girl-next-door feel you have created with her character. When I read her in your words, I could see her in every woman who is struggling in life as single parent. I will not talk anything more about the story since it's just started.
Before I end, I have to add one more thing, for me romance is not all about a kiss or make out. A tear shared between the couple is also called romance. And you have portrayed that very beautifully in just three chps. The way you bring out emotions in words is something every writer should learn and inspire.
Often my readers have said that I write my stories and make my leads connect more on emotional level than physical one. I am so happy to see for the first time another writer doing the same and I hope you continue to do the same.
One last thing, can I hug and kiss you 😆 Dont worry, I am straight andhave no cruel intentions...😆
PS: I am surprised with myself posting this comment. I never commented in any other thread to this length. I am glad I did it in this one because your story deserves every readers attention.
