Next few days Riddhima was behaving normal and was trying hard not to fight or not to react on any of the comments passed by Armaan. She just gave him a smile in response to his any of the rubbish talks which before can lead to a big fight but now ended with Armaan's confused face and Riddhima's fake smile. But one thing was surely changed and was different. Riddhima's behavior towards Armaan was changing in good. She has started liking Armaan as a person as she slowly came to know his inside outs.

Two weeks passed like this. Riddhima was slowly developing new feelings for him but was unaware of those new feelings. From the time she started thinking from her heart, the day itself came to know that she was somewhere wrong about Armaan. She found him very caring and sweet in nature while he has those charms and the handsome look, apart from that he is ready to help everyone; it doesn't matter he knew them or not. Riddhima was really amazed with the fact that she has been here in the college with Armaan for 3 years and never ever tried to know this side of him.

One night she was standing in her balcony attached to her room. It was very windy & dark night as the whole sky was covered with black and grey clouds. Riddhima was enjoying the weather when suddenly rain started and she spread her arms in the air to welcome the rain drops. It was dark everywhere but still she was glowing like an angel and was even playing with rain drops. Little did she know that two pair of eyes was watching her with an amazed look on his face! Yeah, he was none other than Armaan who was standing near his room window which was opposite to her room balcony as their buildings were separated with a small park.

He was continuously gazing at her playing like a kid with rain drops. He smiled a little. He then move inside and sits on his bed thinking about last weeks as Riddhima was behaving weird at times. He said to himself "basket se kal baat karni hee padegi...pata nahi aj kal isko ho kya gaya hai..na ladhti hai..na kuch...bas smile karke chali jati hai...is she is insane or what...huh whatever..!"

Next day Armaan saw her sitting in class alone. He move towards her & said "basket suno..mujhe tumse baat karni hai..."

"bolo Armaan.." She said not moving her eyes from her book as she was deeply engrossed in reading her novel.

Armaan got irritated as she was not looking at him. He closed the book and kept it on table.

"Kya hai Armaan...kyu pareshan kar rahe ho mujhe.."

"mai...nahi tum kar rahi ho...yeh tumhe huya kya hai 2 weeks se dekh raha hu na ladhti ho...na kuch kehti ho...na gussa...na irritation...bas smile karti ho (she smiled hearing him)...dekho aise ..."

"Aisa kuch nahi hai...mai bas bohot bore ho gayi hu...3 years se yahi kar rahe hai...maine socha dushmani karke dekhli hai...ab kyu na dosti karke bhi dekh le..."

He looked at her shock. She, first time in these years forwarded her hand; not for any challenge but for friendship. He keep his hand on her forehead and said tum thik ho na..i mean tumhari tabet thik toh hai na..."

"Shut up Armaan...hadh hai...tumse na kuch kehna hee bekaar hai.."

"Oh..Sorry...achha chalo friends.." and they shake hands. "But ek condition hai" Armaan said.

"Kya..."

"tum kuch bhi ho jaye mujhse ladhna mat chodna...tumhe haraane mein ek alag hee maza aata hai..." and he started laughing while Riddhima was beating him with her fists. And they both burst into laughters.

One week passed Armaan was really amazed as he came to know more about Riddhima. He came to know that she is gem as a person. She is different from others and always think about others first. He really liked her as a friend too.

Next morning Muskaan and Riddhima were getting ready when somebody knocked their door. Muskaan opened the door only to find a beautiful girl standing in simple jeans and top. She has long hairs and a beautiful attractive smile which was curving her pinkish lips. She said

"Hey...I am Jiya Malhotra, your new room-mate."

"Oh..Hi...I am Muskaan Chadda and she is Riddhima Gupta."

They exchanged pleasantries. And move towards college after settling Jiya in the room.

"So Jiya tum kya kar rahi ho.." Riddhima asked smiling as she really liked her as a friend.

"Actually pehle mai Delhi mein thi...par mere Dad ke transfer ki wajah se mujhe yaha aana padha...mai MBBS ka final year kar rahi hu.,.."

"oye...yeh toh badi achhi baat hai,...matlab tu bhi hamari class mein hee hai..chalo chalte hai phir.." Muskaan said smiling while Jiya returned their smile. She really liked Muskaan and Riddhima a lot.

They entered in class while Armaan and Rahul were talking standing near the teacher's place. Armaan was having his back towards them. A soon as Rahul mention that they are here he turned and got lost in her beauty. She was so simple but beautiful. Riddhima first saw Armaan looking towards her but as she move near him his eyes were still fixed on the same spot where she was standing before. She follow her gaze and saw he was staring Jiya while Jiya was returning his gaze, slightly blushing. She doesn't know why but she was not feeling good seeing Armaan staring somebody else. So she decided to break his trance and said

"Hey Rahul...hey Armaan..." Riddhima greeted them. Rahul greeted her back but Armaan he was so lost that he didn't feel bothered even to reply her back when Muskaan called jiya and broke his trance.

"Arre Jiya waha kya kar rahi thi...yaha aa..!! yeh hai mera Rahul jiske bare mein maine subha bataya tha..aur yeh hai Armaan..." Muskaan said indicating them.

"Hi Rahul...(Then looking towards armaan) hey Armaan...I am Jiya...Jiya Malhotra." Jiya said slightly blushing as she was feeling nervous under his gaze too.

"Well hi jiya...nice to meet you..."Rahul said bringing his hand forward and greet her warmly.

"Hey...Jiya...welcome to our college...I hope you are comfortable here..." Armaan said greeting her while he shakes his hand with her.

After they settled, Armaan was only looking in Jiya's direction as if some spell is chanted on him. He was not able to look away anywhere but in her direction. He was so attracted to her in the first meet that he was not able to control his eyes. Here Jiya was too attracted towards him as she checked him out. She was thinking about how handsome he was and the dimpled smile and moreover his charms.

But only one person was there who was getting affected by their first meeting attraction. Yeah, it was none other than Riddhima. She was continuously stealing glances from their directions. She was not at all paying attention to whatever was going in the class. She was getting a whole new feeling inside her which she was not able to understand.

Two weeks were passed in a hurry as they were having many practical. For their practical's they have to team up in a group of two people. Muskaan and Rahul teamed up and Riddhima too expected from Armaan to team up with her as they have always been in a group so that they can challenge each other & prove themselves better but this time she knew if they teamed up they will work as friends and not enemies. But to her disappointment, Armaan asked Jiya and she gladly accepted. Riddhima was left alone again and heartbroken too. She was still confused with her feelings which were erupting in her heart and thoughts which were clouding her mind & the pain she was feeling seeing them together.

In these weeks, Riddhima also found that Jiya is a nice girl and a very good friend to her but then when she is with Armaan she felt bad. She knew that it is Armaan's life but then still she can't help it as her heart was saying something else to her. Whenever they both will be together jiya always shared her feelings with Riddhima about Armaan's caring behavior, his cute antics, his nautankis etc etc...she too mentioned that she had started liking Armaan as now they had become best friends.

She was getting irritated & frustrated by each passing day. It's not that Armaan have stopped talking to her; he still enjoys with her; they still challenge each other and end up fighting but whenever she thinks that maybe things are getting normal again between them suddenly from nowhere Jiya came in between and again Riddhima felt that Armaan has gone far away from her and she end up getting defeated by them.

She had become quiet and speaks less or we can say whenever needed. She often prefer to keep herself busy as much as she can and also ignore Armaan so that she can overcome her feelings, but then it was all a matter of saying as those feelings keeps on haunting her for past few weeks.

Whenever she finds herself alone, she doesn't know when but her eyes started brimming with tears & she started sobbing as she did not understand what was happening with her. She was feeling like an unwanted person because on several occasions jiya proved herself better than her in front of him which makes her more upset and even her best friends Muskaan and Rahul too forgets about her.

One week more passed like this. Riddhima was getting distant from everyone. She was just waiting for the day when she can get out of here as the feelings were disturbing and giving her so much pain.

But little did she know Rahul and Muskaan were aware of her condition and her state of mind and also sudden change in her nature. Muskaan many a times wanted to console her but Rahul stopped her from doing anything like that as he wanted Riddhima should realize this on her own. They knew that Armaan was getting more and more attracted and closer to Jiya but they knew it's better to make Riddhima realized first so that she can make him realize his love too.

On the other side Armaan was in his own world. He was getting attracted to her from the first meet itself. After a week, he realized that there was something more to it. As he thought that it cannot be only attraction. He was amazed at himself as he was not affected by any girl to this extent before. Yes, before he too was attracted to many girls, but this feeling was surely something more than that. So he decided to give sometime so that he can be sure about his new feelings which were developing inside him. He uses to spend almost whole day with her. They both have become really close to each other.

Armaan asked Nikki that "how will you know that you have been fallen for someone? " Nikki was shocked listening to this then she replied "Armaan...you...asking about love...kya baat hai..." she teased him where as he pleaded for the answer to which nikki replied

"Dekh..jab tujhe wo ladki iss duniya ki sabse khubsoorat ladki lagne lage,,aur tujhe hamesha usse baat karne ka mann kare..ya phir tu uski aankhon mein kho jaye...uske face par hamesha smile laaye...aur uske aansu na dekh paye..yeh sab ho toh samajh jana...ki tu gaya...tujhe pyaar ho gaya hai...by the way wo ladki hai kaun...koi bhi ho..tu mujhe btane wala toh hai nahi...toh puchne ka kya fyada...huh" Nikki said and left from there.

Armaan was still standing confused their thinking hard about Nikki's words when it strikes him that friendship day was coming this weekend. He decided to do something special for Jiya. Suddenly Riddhima's face too came in his mind. He thought she is also a new friend and it will be there first friendship day in these years so why not celebrate it by doing something big. Idea struck in his mind and he started planning for it.

On the other side Riddhima was sitting on her bed folding her legs. She was hugging her knees; her head was resting on her knees and small tears were making their way out of her eyes which she was continuously rubbing from her cheeks as she doesn't want that Muskaan or jiya came to know about her condition. She was still sobbing quietly when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turns around and saw Muskaan sitting on her bed and concern was clearly shown on her face.

"Kya huya ridzi...aise kyu ro rahi hai...kya baat huyi hai...mai bohot dino se dekh rahi hu tujhe...tu itni chup chup si kyu ho gayi hai..." Muskaan asked with all love and concern she holds for her where as Riddhima kept mum. She didn't want to say anything as she knew Jiya will be here soon.

"Jiya nahi aayegi...wo Armaan ke saath dinner par gayi hai...ab btayegi kya baat hai..." Muskaan said knowing the reason behind her silence. Riddhima looked at her and not able to control more hugged her and sobbed in her arms.

"Ridzy...bas kar...ab agar aise roti rahegi aur mujhe kuch nahi batayegi...toh mai teri problem solve kaise karugi...agar mujh par vishwas karti hai toh bta...I promise mai teri help jarur karugi.'

Listening to Muskaan Riddhima broke the hug. She cleared her face and moving out she stood in her balcony. Fresh tears made way out on her cheeks. Muskaan saw her again sobbing and came near her and look down. She saw Armaan standing with jiya. He was talking and laughing with her freely.

"Ridzy...pyaar karne lagi hai na Armaan se..." Muskaan asked out of blue.

"na..nahi...mu..muski..ai..aisa kuch...ch...bhi..nahiii hai.." Riddhima said not meeting her gaze.

"Kisse jhuth bol rahi hai...mai janti hu maine hee kaha tha na tujhse Armaan se dosti karne ke liye...aur tu mana kar rahi thi ki tere aur uske beech mein aisa kabhi kuch nahi hoga...tujhe yaad hai maine kaha tha ki ek baar Armaan ki life mein koi aur important hoga tere se tab tujhe pta chalega...toh pta chala ..."Muskaan said

"muski mai nahi janti yeh pyaar hai ya kya hai...hamari dosti hone ke baad mai bohot khush thi...ek ajeeb si khushi mehsoos hoti thi...par jab Jiya aayi...aur mai jaise unn dono ko saath dekh hee nahi pa rahi hu...mai janti hu yeh Armaan ki life hai..par kyu mai apne ap ko nahi samjha pa rahi hu...kyu mai uss puraane Armaan ko itna miss kar rahi hu...usse ladhna jhagadna...sab kuch...ek ek pal yaad aata hai mujhe...mai andar se tuth kar reh jati hu bas..." Riddhima said crying while looking towards Armaan and jiya.

"Ridzi andar chal mere sath" Muskaan took her inside and said "Ridzy..jab tum dono saath the in 3 yrs mein ...tumhe kabhi bhi realize nahi huyi ek dusre ki importance...hume dikhta tha par tum dono nahi dekh paye...aur yeh jo tu un dono ko saath nahi dekh pa rahi hai..isse jealousy kehte hai...jo pyaar ho jaane ka sabse bda symptom hai..haan ridzy...yahi pyaar hai...tu usse pyaar karne lagi hai...tujhe bas ehsaas karne kr jarurat hai...jin feelings se tu ladh rahi thi itne dino se...wo pyaar thi...aur rahi baat Armaan ki...toh mai uski gurantee leti hu...wo bhuddhu bhi sirf tujhse pyaar karta hai par abi usse realize nahi huya hai...jaise tujhe nahi huya tha...samjhi kuch..toh kal se yeh chup rehna chod...aur wapus purani wali Riddhima banja samjhi...Apni Armaan ki Riddhima..." Muskaan said while making her smile.

Finally Riddhima realized with the help of Muskaan her feelings towards Armaan. It was a sleepless night for her as she knew now what was paining inside her heart. It was the fear of loosening Armaan; it was the fear of Armaan loving somebody else. She smiled and thought about their whole journey of being strangers to enemies and then friends and then...maybe lovers...!!

Next morning, Riddhima was back to herself. She was talking, laughing, enjoying freely. Riddhima decided to wear her Indian attire which she didn't like to wear in college, as she is more comfortable in jeans and top but don't know why, she wants to wear it.

She entered in college and every other face was turning in her direction, checking her out. She wore a red color salwar suit, with some silver bangles in her left hand, small pearl earrings and with minimal make-up she move towards where everyone was standing. Armaan for the first time after a month was staring at Riddhima in disbelief. She was not looking less than any angel. Rahul and Muskaan were too shocked seeing her in Indian attire as they knew she didn't prefer to wear it in college.

"Riddhima...you are looking soo pretty..." Rahul complimented her.

"Thanks Rahul..." She smiled sweetly.

"oyee ridzy...tu toh bohot hee sundar lag rahi hai yaar..!! kya baat hai...aj toh tu ladko ko maar hee daalegi.." Muskaan saw Armaan staring at her and she nudged him and said "hero tu taaref nahi karega kya.." Muskaan and Rahul laughed a bit where as Jiya said

"wow Riddhima...you looking fab...mujhe toh pta hee nahi tha tum Indian dresses bhi pehanti ho...but bohot sundar lag rahi ho..." Jiya said while smiling. Riddhima returned her smile.

All of them were moving towards class when Riddhima felt a tug at her dupatta. She turns around and found that it was clutched in armaan's shirt button. She looks towards Armaan hoping that he will detach it but she found him looking at her dreamingly. Blush crept on her cheeks making it go all red, exactly matching to her suit colour.

Riddhima also lost herself in armaan's eyes that she imagined a song playing in her background.

She imagined herself with Armaan getting closer to each other when she jerked back to reality seeing Jiya snapping her hands between them. Armaan's trance too broke and he felt nervous and guilty for staring at her like this but when he tried to move he found Riddhima's dupatta clutched in his button. He removed it and complementing her for the dress he moved away with Jiya with a small dreamy smile playing on his lips. Riddhima saw him going she felt bad but next second Armaan was standing in front of her singing song. She again looks back and found Armaan going with jiya and then again looks in front to find Armaan here. She smiled at herself.

Armaan was singing for her and walking with her hand in hand towards the garden not breaking the eye-lock for even one time. They stood there in the garden and Armaan started getting closer to her while blush was clearly visible on her cheeks. She was gazing in his blue orbs. She was getting mesmerized by his closeness with her. He held her from her waist and started twirling her around while Riddhima held him from his neck and enjoyed the moment.

Meri khamoshi se baatein chun lena

Armaan made her stand on her legs when his hand moved on her face moving the fringe near her ear while caressing her cheeks with his knuckles. His other hand was holding her protectively from her waist. She was so lost in the moment. He brought his face near her and kissed her both cheeks. Then he was looking towards her lips. He was about to kiss her when suddenly she heard Muskaan's voice from nowhere. She looks towards Muskaan and then back to Armaan who was nowhere to be seen. He was disappeared. She was confused at first but then smiled and blushed a little at her thoughts of getting close to him.

She was sitting in the class with Muskaan and Rahul. Armaan and jiya was sitting adjacent to her so she can have a full view of Armaan. She was just staring at him and while thinking she imagined herself sitting near him and moving closer she kissed his cheek and while blushing she stood up but Armaan caught her wrist and made her sit back again. But with that jerk she got back to reality and concentrate in her class.

She was standing there in her balcony. Rain was pouring heavily on her, when she again went to her dreamland thinking about Armaan. Suddenly two pair of hands holds her from her waist making her startled but then next second he turned her in his hold. They both were staring in each other's eyes, and got lost in the moment.
