PART 1

It was a very sunny morning; birds were chirping; hustle-bustle atmosphere was everywhere in the college as everyone was ready to go to their classes for their lectures.

A guy was continuously waking up another guy who was his room-mate cum his best buddy since the very first day of their college. The guy has a fair complexion but still he has some style and still manages to steal many stares from girls. He was all ready to attend his class but he knew he has to wake his sleeping head best friend as he was having a match today with his girl friend's best friend. And if he will not reach on time he will kill him for sure for not waking him up and all the blame will be on him of loosening the match with his best friend oops sorry...with his best and only enemy. The guy feeling restless with the efforts he was making to wake him up. So he took a glass of water and pours it on his face. The guy who was sleeping jerked up his head and sits on his bed. He thought as some cyclones have arrived and have drowned him with it. The guy who was standing spoke

"Finally...Good Morning you sleeping head...!"

He glared at him angrily and spoke

"Oyee...Mr Rahoool...is this the way to wake up some one...I will make sure to ask your girl friend to wake you up like this every morning...!"

"Okay...Mr. Supercool Armaan Mallik...you can ask anytime about that...! But for now get going as someone is waiting for you...if you remember yesterday's challenge where our boys team won...from girls team and she asked you to have one-on-one match.." Rahul gave a chuckle and moved out.

"Ohh...Damn...This idiot can't wake me up on time...if I am late today...he is surely going to have it from me..."

Armaan freshened up with the speed of lightening and reached out where he met Muskaan and rahul in the middle of his way. Armaan and Rahul are best friends from the first day of college. As Rahul and Muskaan are in a relationship so Armaan too shares a good bond with Muskaan. He took her as his own sister but only one thing he hates the most about her or actually not about her but the person she lives with all the time her best friend and Armaan's biggest and only enemy from the very first day of college itself.

"Hey Hero...So you are late again...Congratulations..."

She said while laughing in her typical infectious laughing style. Armaan glared at her and said

"Thanks to your idiot boyfriend ...Next time isse tum koi gift do toh wo alarm clock dena...He needs it well..."

"Oyee hello...Armaan I was the one waking you up from last one hour and you..." Rahul said in angry tone when Muskaan cuts him in between and said

"Oyee kankhajure chup kar ab,...usse jaane de...Ridzy uska intezaar kar rahi hogi...All the best Ammy..." She said cutely while Armaan smiled at her and said "thanku Muski...aur tu Rahoool meet me after the match...it seems Riddhima is more important to you now..."

Armaan ran from there leaving Muskaan and Rahul chuckled at him.

"God knows inn dono ka kya hoga...mujhe samajh nahi aata yeh dono itna ladhte kyu hai..." said muskaan.

"Well mai janta hu...infact pura college janta hai...except for these two dumb-heads..." Rahul said as a matter of fact...

"Oyee don't call my Ridzy a dumb-head..." Muskaan said mocking anger..."Chill Muskaan...but then tu soch...yeh dono saath hai 3 years se...and they are fighting since day 1...! Kyu..? Kyuki Armaan played a prank on her and tried to flirt and Riddhima back fired his prank on him proving she is better and giving not-to-mess-with-me looks...Obviously Armaan's ego will be hurt...as he had saw very first girl who didn't paid any attention to his charms." Rahul said remembering the time.

"Haan rahul..but ridzy is not the one ki kisi se impress ho jaye itni jaldi...but ismein inki ladaai kaha se aa gayi...phir aaye din to ek dusre ko challenge karte rehte hai...3 yrs se yeh log yahi kar rahe hai..." Muskaan said getting confused.

"Muskaan..hum bhi ladhte the...but we are sensible enough to realize our feelings...but yeh dono toh jaise kuch sochna hee nahi chahte hai...mai sure hu...yeh dono kisi ko apni life mein itni importance nhi denge jitni ek dusre ko di hai...jo abi yeh khud bhi nahi jante...apni ego mein dono apni feelings ko ignore kar rahe hai..." Rahul said spilling some beans in front of her.

"Pta hai maine kahi baar note kiya hai Ridzy ko...jab bhi Armaan usse chod kar kisi aur ladki par dhyaan deta hai usse flirt karta hai toh Ridzy ko pata nahi kya ho jata hai...uski itni burai karegi aur phir kuch na kuch karegi jisse wo majbur ho usse attention dene ke liye..." Muskaan said

"I know maine bhi usse note kiya hai...but then maine Armaan mein kabhi aise koi jealousy measures nahi dekha...but phir bhi wo kehta hai ki usse Riddhima se compete karne mein bohot maza aata hai...wo overall yeh sab sirf usse compete karne ke liye karta hai warna he is least bothered..." rahul said as they both were heading towards the stadium for the match.

"No wonder yeh dono kab samjhenge...I think agar yeh apni dushmani se normal dost bhi ban jayenge toh Kisi ek ko toh realize ho hee jayega..." Muskaan said getting happy

"But Muskaan...mujhe dar lagta hai...Armaan is a good guy despite of his flirtiest nature but then uska mind padhna is not easy...aur Ridzy uski toh sari feelings uski aankhon mein dikhti hai... "

"rahul don't worry...unn dono ko ek dusre ki itni aadat padh gayi hai ki ek minute aisa nahi hota jab wo ek dusre ke bare mein na soche...ha yeh baat alag hai ki sirf ladhte hai but phir pyaar ka pehle step hai ladai...in dono ko aa hee jayega samajh jab kisi ek ke dil mein dusre se dhur hone ka khyaal aayega..."

"Kyaa baat hai Muski tu toh mere sath reh kar kaafi samajhdar ho gayi hai..." Rahul said while winking at her while she glared and doing her favorite action with her hand she said "Chaddho.."..

Armaan reached the stadium and found it empty and smirked "So Dr. Basket is late too...interesting..."

He was cut in between with a voice of a girl "You have mistaken Mr. Mallik...I am right here...but then I understand sleep has over powered your head right now...no problem..."

She moved towards him and now they were standing facing each other in the middle of the court.

Riddhima Gupta, princess and darling daughter of Mr. Shashank Gupta, dean of Sanjeevani and wants to be a great ambitious doctor like her Dad. She loves studying and likes to take part in various activities only to prove her best not to herself or to anybody...but to Armaan Mallik. She met him first time in college 3 years back. She hated him as he tried his pranks and flirt with her but then it is not easy to make Riddhima Gupta fall for someone...So she backfired his prank. The first day in college people become friends but they became enemies.

Well what to say about Armaan Mallik. He is son of Billy and Ananya Mallik, the industrialists. They never gave parent love to him and always kept him in hostel away from house. He too never asked them anything and lived his life on his own terms. He is a cool dude and full of charms. Flirting is in his genes, but always ready to challenge Riddhima in each and every competition he can.

"Well from here journey started of A LOVESTORY of two people...who turned into enemies...who turned into friends... who turned into eternal lovers..."

She was wearing a track suit while her hairs were done in a pony tail with a band on her forehead. As she knew Armaan very well...he will do something to turn her attention. She has white milky skin which can be seen from her face complexion and her bare hands and looks drop dead gorgeous even if she doesn't use any make up other than liner. Her green eyes were an expressive one with a sparkle and finch of naughtiness. In short she was a perfect example of "Beauty with Brains".

"Okay Miss basket...fine I am late but then today I am not going to let you win so easily." He said with full of attitude in his tone and eyes were staring directly into hers.

"Yeah sure...we'll see that..." She too said with attitude.

Muskaan and Rahul too entered the stadium only to watch their daily dose of bickering,.

"Yeah you can see...don't you remember your yesterday's match which you have lost because of your silliness. "He gave a smirk to her.

"Well...well Armaan...it was all because those girls are crazy about you...As you only said na...that no one can escape your charms. Only to prove you wrong I challenged you for this match. I think one-on-one match will be fair enough for deciding who is better...what's say...Mr.-Oh-So-not-supercool.." she said with all the attitude she have.

"Enough of blabbering...I think we will see after match.." Armaan said...

Rahul in his mind " Inka kya hoga...yeh kab samjhenge ek dusre ko...jo pura college dekh sakta hai yeh kyu nahi..."

Muskaan looking at Rahul and then she too prayed " babaji...Ridzy Armaan ko pasand karti hai...bas janti nahi hai...Please kuch aisa karo ki yeh dono dost ban jaye...ab aur hum log inko aise nahi jhel sakte..please babaji.."

Armaan took the ball and threw it upwards. He caught the ball on time when it comes down. He started dribbling the ball and facing his back to Riddhima to save the ball from her. He took the ball and was making an attempt when from nowhere she snatched away the ball and hurriedly took the ball to other side while he followed her moves. She made an attempt still after lot of efforts by Armaan she did a basket and shouted in joy. The game goes on and now the score was 1 Armaan and 2 Riddhima. When Riddhima was dribbling he just came near her and made his hands way to her hairs and opening her hairs he brushed her hairs to other side making her startled at first but then she realize he did a basket. She was angry and the final basket was done by Riddhima as time was over and she did a victory dance in front of him showing him the sign of being a Looser where as he was about to go but she blocked his way and said

"Oh...mr.Supercool...so whats say...I have proved you again that I am not like other girls who loves to drool around you or I should say u drool over them. She said while laughing. He looked at her angrily and said " Don't think ki ek match jeetne se tum koi better prove ho gayi...and don't dare to call me Looser again...I know yeh hamara final year hai but trust me I won't let u go so easily...just wait and watch.."

"I so hate you Armaan Mallik...Go to Hell..." she gave a disgusted face.

"Same to u too..." Armaan said while winking.

Saying these words they turned around and moved in opposite directions.

They reached to their classroom late and like everyday have to sit with each other as they fight on nothing and everything in class so teacher fixed their place right in front and together. As usual some were making fun of Armaan as he loses the match again. The day went on with some more fights between them leading to new challenges and most awaited their Prom Night Dance Competition.

Two weeks flew in an instant. After another tiring day Riddhima and Muskaan reached their hostel. And both lay on their beds which were slightly away and parted with a lamp table. They both are use too of talking late at nights and discussing their day where Muskaan always try to talk about Armaan and their relation which Riddhima keeps on denying from last year. So, today was another day like that when they discussed about it...

"Ridzy...ek baar meri baat sun toh le...please" Muskaan said pleading to her while Riddhima had a pillow on her face only to show Muskaan that how sleepy she was feeling. "Muski ...mujhe bohot neend aa rahi hai..So please let me sleep...I am badly tired.." Riddhima said turning off her side lamp.

"Thik hai...matlab meri toh koi value hee nahi hai na teri life mein...ek baar meri baat sunlegi toh tera kya chala jayega...koi dushman thodi na hu teri..." Muskaan said making a pout face while she turned around showing back to Riddhima and was pretending like she was reading a book.

Riddhima sighed and thought " such a drama queen...yeh Rahul ke bachhe ko mai chodugi nahi...pata nahi isko kya kya bolta rehta hai aur yeh aake mera sar khati hai aur Armaan ke naam ka jaap (chanting) karne baith jati hai...huh...chalo ab manaao madam ko..."

She got up from her bed and quietly sat on her bed while saying "Muski...arre sun toh...naraz hai kya..." She asked with such cuteness that Muskaan turn to look at her and said "Mai tujhse naraaz ho sakti hu kya...par tu kya ek baar bhi meri baat sunne aur samajhne ki koshish nahi kar sakti kya..." Muskaan asked her again with that topic while Riddhima thought in her mind "There she go again..ehhh...Armaan when you will leave me alone..."

"Muskaan...last year matlab jabse tu aur Rahul saath huye ho na...tabse le kar aaj tak tu yeh ek hee baat par atak gayi hai aa kar...tera main objective huya karta tha Rahul ki jaan lena...par jab se khud uski life mein gayi hai tabse tu meri jaan ke piche padh gayi hai..." Riddhima said getting all irritated from the topic which has been started since Muskaan and Rahul had been in a relationship.

"Ridzy...achha thik hai..aj last time hai..iske baad kabhi kuch nahi kahugi...bas ek baar sun toh le ...phir tujhe lage mai galat hu toh promise aage se kuch nahi kahugi.." Muskaan said pleading as she knew this time Riddhima will definitely agree with her.

"Achha thik hai...but iske baad kabhi nahi...you have promised me.." Riddhima said while Muskaan obediently nodded. Finally Muskaan started and she was determine to make her realize her feelings as this was the last year of their college and she didn't want that Riddhima regret after years.

"Achaa ridzy ek baat bata...inn 3 years mein kya ek bhi aisa koi din gaya hai jismein tune aur Armaan ne ek bhi baar ladaai na kari ho..." Muskaan said as a matter of fact where as Riddhima racked her brain and found that Muskaan was saying true. Since the very first day they both haven't done anything except fighting. Riddhima didn't replied anything and Muskaan got her answer that her words are making some sense to her. She continued

"Nahi na ridzy...wo isliye ki tum dono ko ek dusre ki itni aadat ho gayi hai na...ki ek bhi mauka tum dono nahi chodte ho ladhne ka ...ridzy tujhe ye baat accept karni padegi..ki tu yeh competitions mein part leti hai but jeetne ne ke liye nahi...armaan ko haraane ke liye..achha chal yehi bta de..ki jab Armaan unn dumbo girls ke saath flirt karta hai toh tujhe kaisa lagta hai.."

Mujhe...umm mujhe bohot irriatating lagta hai..i mean kaise koi har waqt ladkiyo ke aage piche ghum sakta hai...aur koi kaam nahi hai kya uske pas...Aur wo ladkiya...na shakal hai na akkal ...phir bhi .." Riddhima said in her angry tone...where as Muskaan laughed.

"kya hai muski mere kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai..mai sone ja rahi hu..." Riddhima said getting up where as Muskaan made her sit down again and said

"tujhe aise samajh nahi aayega...dekh lena madam jis din Armaan ki life mein tujhse bhi koi important ho gaya na tab pata chalega ki jealousy kya hoti hai...jab Armaan tujhse ladhne ke liye tere aage piche na ghum kar kisi aur ke saath apna time spend karega na..tab miss karegi tu ...Armaan mujhe apni behan manta hai..aur isliye maine uski caring side dekhi hai ridzy...wo bohot bohot achha hai...par usse tujhse ladhna itna jyada pasand hai aur tum dost tak nahi ho isliye kabhi tune uski wo side dekhi hee nahi hai...Ek baar meri baat maan..aur jo maine kaha hai tujhse uske bare mein soch...mai janti hu Ridzy tujhe bhi Armaan ko bhi...isliye samjha rahi hu...apne dil ki sun ...apne ego mein uss awaaz ko mat daba...mujhe pata hai ki kahi na kahi tujhe iss baat ka ehsaas hai par tu usse dikha nahi rahi hai... Aur pata hai yeh baat pura college janta hai ki tum dono ek dusre ke liye bilkul perfect ho... Armaan aur tujhe ek baar dost banna chahiye jisse tumhe ek dusre ke bare mein aur samjhoge...agar ek baar tum dost bhi ban gaye na toh tumhe jarur samaj aayega jo mai tujhe abi samjhana chahti hu ...chal soja...I promise aj ke baad mai kabhi aisa kuch nahi kahugi..."

Muskaan laid down on her bed and slept in few minutes where as sleep was far away from Riddhima's eyes. She first time actually realized the true meaning of the words Muskaan said. She was feeling so confused. She thought for a small walk in garden will keep her mind calm. So, wearing her stole as it was little cold weather she moved out in the garden.

She was walking alone while talking to herself...

"Yeh muski kya keh rahi thi...mujhe toh kuch samajh hee nahi aaya..Mai aur Armaan...nahiii kabhi nahi...par kya sach mein meri life mein wo itna important ho gaya hai...lekin hum toh bas ladaai karte hai...aur yeh pyaar kaha se aa gaya beech mein hum toh dost bhi nahi hai..."

She was in her thoughts when a hand patted her shoulder and she turn around only to find Rahul standing. He came and sits beside her and asked "Kya huya Riddhima...any problem...akele kyu baithi ho yaha.."

Riddhima thought to at least ask him because she knew he is more sensible than Muskaan to answer her questions..."umm Rahul ek baat puchu...yeh ...umm...yeh pyaar...pyaar kya hota hai..."

Rahul stare at Riddhima for a minute. She was feeling embarrassed under his gaze but she knew if she wants peace for her mind she have to ask him..

"Riddhima are you all right...the ultimate studious girl asking me about love...is something is there or I should say someone..?? " Rahul said winking at her.

Riddhima became angry and said "Please Rahul...have some mercy on me... your girlfriend is enough to confuse me..Not you please..." She said almost pleading where as Rahul laughed and said "so finally she confronted you about the matter...I know usne tumhe bohot confuse kar diya hoga...but don't worry you are a little sister to me..i won't let you lose your peace of mind..."

"Thanks...now please if you continue.."

"ohh yeah.. pyaar agar Sharukh khan ki style mein kahe toh pyaar dosti hai..." She chuckled while he continued "Agar wo tumhara sabse achha dost nahi bann sakta toh tum usse kabhi pyaar kar hee nahi sakte..." Rahul said dramatically.

Riddhima sighed "Rahul...phir se joke...tu aur muski ek jaise ho gaye ho.,." She was leaving when Rahul stops her and said "achha meri baat toh sun..let me explain...Ridzy...tum yahi soch rahi ho na ki muski aisa kyu keh rahi hai ki tum ek dusre se pyar karne lage ho...actually wo galat hai bhi aur nahi bhi hai."

They again sit down and Rahul continued "mai koi speech deke tumhe confuse aur nahi karna chahta...kyuki humne samjha ke dekh liya tum dono ko...ab baari hai ki tum apne dil ki sunna sikho... ...Armaan being an all time idiot...usse realize nahi hai...par tumhe ho raha hai...aur jaldi hee samajh aa jayega..." "Riddhima..tumhari life mein iss waqt sabse important Armaan hai ...abi wo tumhare sath hai..lekin jis din nahi hoga...uss din tumhe sab apne ap samajh aayega...tumhe bas uss feeling ko samajhna hai...ki kyu tumhe har waqt Armaan ke hone na hone se fark padhta hai...kyu tum dono pehle din se ladhte aa rahe ho...bina kisi reason ke...kyu bahaane dhundte ho ek dusre se baat karne ke..."

"par Rahul...yeh pyaar kaise ho sakta hai...i toh definitely hate him...aur phir tumne kaha pyaar dosti hai...aur hum toh dost nahi hai...phir tum ye..." She was cut in between by Rahul..

"Wahi toh hum tumhe samjhana chah rahe hai..Maybe hum dono galat ho..But atleast yahi sochlo ki 3 yrs se sirf ladh rahe ho...toh agar dushmani karke dekh li hai toh dosti karke bhi dekhlo..! Because you never know..!! Think about it..!! Dosti karne mein koi buraai nahi hai..! Maybe you both are not meant for each other but I know you both will be really good friends for each other.."

Rahul stood and left bidding goodnight to her where as Riddhima thought to herself "Kya Armaan sach mein itna important hai...kya hai aisa jo sab dekh paa rahe hai...par mai nahi ...uska irritate karna..usse ladai karna ..mujhe uski har cheez se itna fark kyu padhta hai...uhh...ohh god yeh kaha fassa diya aapne...par mujhe in sawalo ka jawaab dhundna hee hoga..."

Riddhima was now determined to solve all this mess by herself. She was not sure about her feelings. She decided to listen to her heart for once..Maybe she can get all answers...maybe there is nothing like that what Rahul and Muskaan is saying...or maybe they are right..She decided to give a chance to her heart.

"Armaan mallik be ready..! Kal se yeh basket na tumhe challenge karegi...na ladaai... Let's see. "She said smiling to herself.
