||~Rey's POV~||

I stood there watching her leave. I have no idea what's going on anymore. Since we met we are mostly fighting and now she walked out on me. I think I am losing her or maybe have already lost her. "Aaah" I heard her scream and my breath caught in my throat. I rushed to the door but stopped as I heard his voice. His voice was like annoying siren to my ears. He teased her and took her for ice cream, her weakness. I clenched and unclenched my fist as I heard their voices fading away and completely disappeared with the ding of the elevator. I desperately paced around in the room not knowing what to do. Since past 5 years I am used too to take things in control but when it comes to Taani everything is out of my control. I don't want my anger and controlling nature ruin our relationship. I had thought that moving away from all will help get out of this situation but nope it's gotten it worse. I exhaled loudly as I remember her words of not leaving him for me and vice versa. Well two things are clear that firstly she is MINE and not his; secondly she is not leaving HIM. I let out of frustrated breath and left her room to go to mine.

Chapter 4

||~Rohit's POV~||

I took her to the best ice cream parlor here as we sat and started eating ice cream. I waited patiently for her to start. Her eyes were puffy and red. I knew something more happened the way she left her room and collided with me. She sighed bringing me back to present as she played with her ice cream. "He wants me to leave everything and go with him tomorrow" she let out dejectedly. "WHAT?" I screamed gaining attention of everyone and making her jump. I smiled sheepishly at everyone and rubbed the back of my neck. "How can he?" I ask this time a little calmer though I was mad at him. "He is like that only. He is over possessive and he likes the control of everything, especially of those he loves. In this case it's me and you are threatening him by coming close to me. He thinks you will snatch me from him. And the thought he is scaring the living crap out of him and he wants his control and security back which he thinks he can get away from you with me by his side. I know that's wrong but its right for him." she explained her love of life not liking my anger towards him. I smiled at her she is a darling I thought. Hey don't get me wrong here. I don't love her. She is my bestie. I know she belongs to Rey and not just her heart but her body and soul too. Whatever they share it's a weird yet a strong bond of love which is rare to find. And I won't let my silly attitude ruin it. Its decided I need to fix this and I will I vowed to myself as I smirked at her. "You know you always have me we can runaway today instead of him taking you tomorrow?" I offered and she mocked glared at me and then end up laughing. I laughed with her as we joked around more and I teased her by using her caveman name. She laughed and joked around but I could see sadness in her eyes. I saw this same sadness that was there in her eyes on her graduation day when he didn't show up. I knew I have to do something and that too soon.

||~Taani's POV~||

A day has been passed since our argument we haven't seen each other. That evening I went to ice cream parlor and talked to Rohit. We joked around and I felt much better but my heart aches for him. I just want to go to him and hug him tight telling him repeatedly that I belong to him and only him. But I know that's not enough for him right now. He is insecure from Rohit and I don't blame him. His entire life he has craved for love be that of parents or true friends. He finally found love in me and he doesn't want to lose me. I sighed heavily as I gaze outside my bedroom window. I heard a knock on the door and said "come in." Asha walked with a soft smile. I smiled back as she came and stood beside me. "We are going to the party downstairs in the hall here at the hotel. Its hotel's 25^th anniversary and all the guests are invited in its celebration" she explained in a hopeful tone. I sighed and was about to reject her discreet offer when the door burst open.

We both jumped a little to see Rohit and Rithvik making their way looking angry. "What happened?" I asked worried. "It's a kidnap do not move or scream until told otherwise. If you hot girls follow the instructions properly no one will get hurt" Rohit said nodding at Rithvik who had a fake gun in his hand. I laughed and Asha giggled looking at Rithvik. "get ready in next 10 mins or you will be taken as it is" Rithvik ordered shooing us to the bathroom with dresses Rohit handed us which came from God knows where.

After exact 10 mins we got out as told wearing the dresses. The guys smiled at us and offered us their hands and we took it and left though I didn't want to but as said before I can't ruin their fun cause of me. The hall was beautiful decorated and was fully crowded. Some guests were dancing and some were sitting while drinking and chitchatting. My eyes searched for his deep ones but I couldn't find it. I felt dejected but still smiled for my friends.

After a while of sitting and chitchatting the announcer came and after his speech which I tuned out made everyone those who were sitting dance including us. I groaned but danced anyways. I was dancing with Rohit as he did some funky steps making me laugh. I looked at Asha and Rithvik who were lost in each others' eyes while doing close dance. I awed at them as I felt a pang in my heart wanting to dance just like this with Rey, my caveman. I saw fingers in front of me as they snap bringing me back to reality. I looked up to see Rohit looking at me worriedly. "You ok there?" he asks concerned. "yup I am fine" I replied with a small smile.

"You tuned me out" he said pouting making me laugh and ruffle his hairs which he hates the most. He mock glared at me on which I faked innocence. "You going to pay for it" he smirked and pulled me to him doing close dance with me. I narrowed my eyes at him on which he shrugged and continued dancing. I shook my head and swayed with him as announcer made us swipe partners twice. Rohit bend down and kissed my knuckles like some princess and the let me go. I was swiped to some stranger who was way too clingy then to another set of strong arms. I looked up and gasped as I saw Rey in front of me. He was my dance partner now and swiping has been stopped I gulped and looked at Rohit who completely ignored me that idiot I thought as I looked back at Rey.

We swayed on the song our eyes not leaving each other's eyes. His one hand was on my waist and other holding my hand as we swayed on the soft song. His eyes were the only ones showing emotions while his face was in his signature poker face. "Umm what are you doing here?" I finally asked looking away from his eyes unable to take the swirl of emotions in them. "I came to look for you" he replied his voice thick with emotions. I nodded not knowing what else to say or do. We danced a little more until he continued again "I don't know what to do?" his voice barely above whisper and he sounded... broken? I sighed and looked at him with softness as I wasn't mad at him nor hated him for his decision. If I won't understand him then who will? I thought as I decided to guide him like always. "I remember the day I and Rohit met..." I started off.

||~Flashback~||

I was working on my assignment late in university's library and didn't realize the sun has set. I sighed and packed my stuff ready to leave. One thing I knew to be safe is that don't be out alone after sunset and it was beyond passed that. I prayed a little before leaving the library to the parking deck. "Dude look at that" someone said making me walk faster. "Man it's a classy piece of meat" another voice said as I heard footsteps behind me. I knew enough to not to turn around as I kept going but stopped as my vision took in a pair of shoes and legs. I gulped and looked up to find someone standing in front of me. I sighed in relief thinking this person can help me as he wasn't with those guys. I was about to ask for help at the frowning man but he spoke before me "where do you think you are going sweet cheeks?"

I gulped as my palms started getting sweaty. I kept shut as he walked to me and circled me checking me out openly. I felt disgusted but stayed rooted. "You are something" he said as he stood in front of. He then looked at the guys behind me "I stopped her from getting away so I should have her first then you guys can take turn, fair enough?" he asked as the others agreed. He took my hand and dragged me to the area where cars were parked. I struggled but his grip was firm but not painful.

"Keep walking woman before they get us and tell me where your ride is" he said not looking behind. I gulped "to the right" I said pointing at my car. He nodded but didn't say anything as he walked us to my car. He faced me and smiled softly "you are welcome and now sit in car and drive off without turning back even once". I looked at him confused as he turned and walked to his bike which was few cars away from mine and sat on it and waited for me to sit in my car with his helmet on. He then signaled me through accelerating his bike and I quickly sat in my car and drove off.

Next day I found him in my class and we talked and I thanked him for helping me in his own twisted way and we became friends the same day.

||~Flashback Ends~||

I smiled at the memory of our weird encounter "after that day he is with me in all my ups and downs. He maybe annoyingly weird and a big flirt but his intentions are good. He knew that I belonged to you since our second meet and he never crossed the line. He flirted nonstop but no wrong move was made though he got several chances. Even now he felt bad for creating a rift between us but still he flirts with me. I kind of like it too if he gets all quiet it scares me. I care for him and I have accepted him with all his good and bad like he did same with me. I don't think just for my happiness and love I can walk away from him when he never did that for me. he never walked away from me that evening if he would have only God knows what would have happened." I shivered at the horrific thought as I felt his hold on me tighten as he looked at me with love and worry. I gave him a weak smile. "Now you tell me how can I forget his favors and be selfish?" I ask as I pull away gently and walked away with my eyes on him until I couldn't see him anymore. I went to my room and cried to sleep just hoping he would understand.

I am finally back hope you liked the update.

Again Rohit is not bad. He is just the way he is. Also, you can understand now why Taani took Rohit's side and didn't leave with Rey. And also it's proven in the last part that Rey is her life and she is trying to make good between them. She hasn't left Rey by himself. So I hope now no one thinks that either Rohit or Taani is bad because no one is.
