Chandigarh: Move over Salman Khan, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is here. He may not have the muscles in place, or the conventional macho looks, or that killer appeal, but the saint of Sirsa is convinced that what Salman can do he can do better. At least the promos of upcoming movie suggest so.

The controversial head of Dera Sach Sauda is set to make a rock star entry into Bollywood with his action-packed movie MSG: The Messenger of God. The saint is playing the lead role in the film which he has also co-directed and written songs for. With around claimed three crore followers, he is unlikely to fall short of audience. The multi-lingual film is scheduled to be released on January 16.

The thrilling action in the film, however, will not be of the mindless kind that the Hindi films generally dish out. According to sources in the Dera Sacha Sauda, it will be laced with patriotism and have a social message. What's even more important and praiseworthy is the fact that the proceeds of the film made in four languages including Hindi and English and shot in a record 67 days, will be used for the benefit of the thalassemia patients across the world. The film aims at putting across a strong message against drug abuse and intoxication of any kind. 'MSG' is a mix of spirituality and entertainment, say Dera sources. They claim that promos of the film have already received more than 13 million likes on social media. Ram Rahim has so far held 100 'Ru-ba-Ru Nights' (concerts) and his prime hit -'Love Charger' - has already got more than 14 lakh hits on YouTube.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has also given the storyline for the movie, which is funded by the Dera Sacha Sauda and has been co-directed by Jeetu Arora, who has directed several popular television serials in the past including 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki', 'Uttaran', 'Kasauti Jindagi ki' etc. A Malayalee actress, who has acted in several South Indian films and some Hindi serials, is playing the lead opposite the Dera chief.

The highlight of the movie will be a sequence on a live concert. "Guruji held a three-day concert at the Shah Satnam Ji Stadium in Sirsa from August 16. It was attended by around 1.25 lakh followers. The film with stunts and action scenes reportedly performed 'effortlessly' by the Dera chief, will be released in across 2000 screens in Hindi. The English, Tamil and Telugu versions of the film will come later with a worldwide release, according to the Dera spokesman, Dr Aditya Insan.

"The movie is aimed at generating awareness about the various humanitarian drives and rouse society's collective conscience towards neglected cause. While the storyline draws completely from the truth, all the ingredients of action, suspense and drama are being added to make it interesting," Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh had stated recently.

However, the film has run into trouble in Haryana and Punjab even before its release, with the Akal Takht, the highest temporal body of Sikhism, and the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (HSGPC) demanding a ban on the release of the film. Posters of the film were reportedly torn in Moga, Punjab by irate protesters. An interesting aspect is that even before the release of the film (MSG-2), its sequel is already being shot and according to the spokesman of the Dera Sacha Sauda, 70 per cent of the film's shooting has already been completed.

Various Sikh organizations are already up in arms against the film. The All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) is planning to move the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking a ban on the film 'MSG'. All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) on Sunday said that it will soon move the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking a ban on the film. AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad said even the promo of the film was objectionable with the Dera Chief challenging people.

"We have demanded a ban on the screening of the film and have requested the Censor Board, Punjab government and the Akal Takht to take immediate steps to get the film banned across the world. We are also moving a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the court against the controversial film," said Karnail Singh Peermohammad. Shiromani Akali Dal (Mann) president Simranjit Singh Mann has also demanded a ban on the film as the Dera chief had teased the Sikhs.

Speaking to Firstpost, Didar Singh Nalvi, senior deputy president of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee HSGPC said the SGPC was right in demanding a ban on the MSG in Punjab and they too want the same in Haryana. "The HSGPC is going to hold a meeting in the coming days to decide their strategy of protest. A resolution will be passed to demand a ban on the film. If serious and highly objectionable charges are levelled against a person and he is facing a court case in this regard then how can he be called the messenger of God? The Dera chief must first give proof of being God's messenger. We demand the Censor Board of India to stop the film from being released," he said.

"No film-maker wants to hurt beliefs or feelings of the audience, but misunderstandings still occur. It's up to the audience to see the motive. But that can be done only after watching the film and not forming any preconceived notion which perhaps may be the case in this film," Rahul Tandon, a student of the Panjab University, said.

However, Dr Aditya Insan defended the film, saying there was nothing objectionable in the film MSG. Talking to Firstpost, he said, "This film has been made with a noble cause. It is not against any religion or community. Those protesting against the release of the film must see it first as it carries a message for the youth against the evils of drugs and other intoxications. It is a patriotic film made for a social cause."

Dera Sacha Sauda is all set to present a Bollywood movie which aims to spread social awareness in the society. The movie which is a blend of entertainment and social message got its name unveiled by Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. His Excellency Guruji has announced the name of His next creative venture after crossing the unprecedented milestone of 10 million CD's with the previous album named, Highway Love Charger' and after a mind blowing performance in more than a century of live concerts. Yes! The enthralling movie is named as MSG (The Messenger of God)' and is becoming the part of attraction before its release.

His Excellency Guruji always use the popular mores of the time to guide society for moving in right direction. This movie also generates awareness about various humanitarian drives. While the whole story depicts the truth, yet action, suspense and drama are also being added to make it more interesting. Please refer to these important key points:

This guy is a piece of shit and a disgrace to our religion 🤢 Dressing up like Guru Gobind Singh Ji and having his own version of Amrit sanchaar take place, he's also had allegations against him of sexually violating his female followers. Incidentally, the editor of the newspaper which published this news at the time was murdered. And this scum of the earth got an interim bail in murder and rape cases by the court.

How people fall for his bullshit is beyond me.
