After two days

Maira called Rano... after their regular conversation Maira came to the point

Maira: Ranoji I called because we were thinking to get the engagement done in two days..

Rano: Itni jaldi... Waisay its too early..let me talk to Mohinder first

Maira: Jaldi kaha ji... Bus jab time hota hai...things start to happening all themselves

Rano: Baat to sahi hai ji

Maira: Khair... You talk to Mohinderji and tell me by the evening

Rano: I will call you again

Rano talked to Mohinder and they agreed to have engagement with in two days.

Now Rano came to inform Geet about the engagement

Rano:Geet.. Geet

Rano knocked and called her but she did respond so she decided to enter in her room

Geet was in bathroom doing her night routine

Rano: Geet... Ufff yeh larki... Kia karogi iska... In two days she is getting engaged and look at her things..laptop is open... papers instaed of being filed are lying around

Rano was murmering all this when Geet came from her washroom in her night suit and stood infront of her mirror applying lotion on her face.

Rano: Geet... Kia hal bana rakha hai... Its looks like a tsunami came rather you studying

Geet turned slightly and told her

Geet: Ohhh meri pyari mom... I was studying na... I have got the test in two days... you remember na...

While Geet was applying lotion on her hands

Rano...haa wo to... uhhh yeh mainay ka kardia?

Rano smaked her one hand on her forhead

Geet: Kia mom?

Geet noticed her mother in tension and came near her

Rano: Oh wo Geet on the same day you have your engagement as well

Geet (shocked): Kia?

Rano: Haa Maira called me today and asked... and I and your father agreed upon this...

Geet: Mom what did you do... abh mai kia karo... I have to give this test.. U know that this too important for my scholarship...U should have asked once mom

Geet: One thing mom... already all these things are happening so fast... abh yea...

Rano: Waisy your test is in afternoon na... and engagement ceremony will be in the evening... so kaam to ho sakta hai...

Geet: Mom but itni tension mai... aur phir there are so many things to do... I will have to go to parlour to get ready

Rano: Wah ji Madam ko hosh agaya... abh parlour jana hai..

Rano grinned while saying that

Geet knew that her mom was taunting her...

Geet was the type of girl who was not involved in the make up stuff and beautifying herself. She believed that simpler things were better...

Geet: Come on Mom... u know that its my engagement, aur every girl has some dreams to look good on her event

Rano: Acha chal... We will see.. I will see... if I can get the beautician here

Geet: Love you mom... you are the best...

Rano: but on a serious note... Geet u okay... us din what did Maira say to you

Geet: The truth mom... aur phir I thought about this... And I believe that God has something stored for me... so I am going with the flow.. and the most important thing Maan and his family don't have any problem with my aims so why not

Rano: I am so happy... the thing I was trying to make you understand... Maira made you understand in 5 min..

Geet hugged her and kissed her cheek

Rano: Ufff chalo... after you are done... sleep

Geet: Love you mom

And she sat on her bed with laptop

On the other side

Ram: Have you told Maan about this

Maira: Once he is back I will tell him... aik to yeh larka... when will he undertsnad that if he comes early the company won't shutdown

Ram grinned at that

Maira: haa to aur kiya... you are his father you should have bought him with you...Don't know whether he has had his dinner

Ram: Don't worry... I texted him.. he is coming

Maira: You and your son are the same... I am thinking what will happen when Geet comes here... Wo bechari to jail hi ho jaigi... if Maan comes home this late

Ram: To koi nahi you and your daughter in law can spend time together...abh u will have to gossip with your friends about you daughter in law

Maira: I don't believe in this... Geet will be like my daughter which I always wanted... So no need to say...instaed of gossping with my friends I will be gossiping with my daughter

Ram: Ok ok Malkai Maira

And they both grinned

Later Maan returned home with bag in hand and coat in other arm and hand busy in loosing his tie

Maira: So you are here

Maan: Oh mom you are up this late...

Maira: Kia karo... when my son comes so late and doesn't have his dinner

Maan: Mom...

Maan came and hugged her

Maira: Ok now go and freshen up.. and I will serve dinner...

Maan went upstairs to freshen up

Maira: Nakul put the dinner on the table...

Maan came back relaxed in his track pants and a tee shirt

Maira served him dinner... and then she sat along with him for company

Maan: where is dad

Maira: he went to sleep...

Maan: How was yourday mom

Maira: It was good... called Rano today

Maan stopped at that point and then nooded

Maira: Mai to chati ho kay my daughter comes and takes her responsibility...so we have decided upon engagement in two days... and after that when both of you want we will do the marriage...theek hai

Maan: Maa par she needs time... I think one year or so for her masters and then afterwards we will think... Is Geet okay with that

Maira: she would be.. Rano called again to confirm in the evening

Maan nooded

Miara:now I have to go to shopping and both of you are coming for shopping... I am so happy..that my son is geeting married

Maan: Oh Maa its just engagement...nothing too fancy

Maira: you don't know from when I was waiting... U were the only son and now I will get a daughter too

Maan smiled seeing her excitement and continued eating

Maira: aur haa call your Yash...he called me today and said you were not picking your cell...aur haa tell him about engament as well warna he will say that we didn't show him his bhabhi... he always wanted to see whom you will get married

Maan: Oh shoot... abh to paka mara jao ga... please help me mom

Maira grinned at that...

Maira: Acha Acha...aur ha aik aur baat I want to take both of you shopping..

Maan: U mean Yash and me

Maira:Nahi Beta ji..app aur Geet

Maan shut his mouth right that instant and continued his eating yet again

Maira: Wah ji abhi naam say hi bolti baad hogai...what will happen when she comes

Maan: Maa...please will you stop

Maira: Ok...Ok I am going to sleep you fininsh your dinner and go to sleep tomorrow I will call Rano and ask her then

Maan nooded and stood up and hugged

Maan: Goodnight

Maira: Godd night

Maira: Nakul bring the dessert

Maan ate it and then went to his room

Maan was half lying on his bed with a blue file in his hand... but instead of reading that file he was lost somewhere else

Maan(selfthought) Oh God yeh Geet na kaisa jadu kardia hai... the whole day I was not able to concentrate... Her laugh, her smile, her hazel eyes, her pink satin lips kept on coming infront of me... Am I already falling for my would be... I never took a second look on a girl...but she its like her image as been encrypted on my heart...liken If I am falling for her... does she has the same feeling for me... chalo I will see that tomorrow...waisay bhi she doesn't need to say...she is like a open book and I can read her...Also I will ask her... that she didn't say yes in any pressure...haa yeh sahi rahe ga

Maan then kept the file on the side table and switched of his night lamp and slept in wait to meet his would be fianc again.
