"Hospital bed"...
She lay on the hospital bed in the most vulnerable state hairs messed up entangled with clotted blood bruises allover her body .Her body more pale and fragile than usual .
Some nurses shouted there was an accident near malad .The patient is very critical
Randhir over heard the sounds n every thing around him blurred his vision blocked with unstoppable tears.Gathering himself he rushed towards the ICU where she lay unmoving or more similar to a corpse .
" Sanyukta "he sobbed.
Her condition was critical but his was worst seeing his love near to death .It was hard rather difficult for him to breathe .
"Mr shekhawat we need you to sign the consent form" the nurse said handing him the form.
It read
"We won't be held responsible if the patient could not make it"
He shouted "what do you mean"
Pointing towards the lines.
"Sir these are the rules and we ll try our level best" the nurse replied.
He signed the documents ,his hands shaking in between .
Soon the lights of the operation theater were red .
Time didn't seem to pass .each second was stabbing his heart.
He prayed to God for the 1st time in his life.
The only one he had was close to death.
His heart screamed n mind had umpteenth no of scary thoughts n calculations running.
His mind filled with those cherished movements of their ,that time which was spent together.
He remembered once
"" Randhir what will you do if something happens to me" she had asked making her way into his lap
"Shhh that day won't come I won't let it come"
He had assured her"
Those words rang in his ears.
It was his fault she was lying here.
If he wouldn't have fought with her she wouldn't have ended up here driving rash in such trafficked place.
The lights turned green after an hour or so.
The doctor came out.
"How my wife "he asked
" you are talking abt sanyukta shekhawat . congrats its a miracle she survived but she is too weak you need to take care of her young man go you can meet her" saying this the doctor in his mid forty's patted his back and left .
He got inside n sat by her side
"M sorry sanyu this won't happen again " he sobbed again .A lone tear escaped from his eye which fell on her face.
"Randhir" she almost whispered
"M here sanyu" he said holding her hand .
"Hug me once please" she said in a soft voice.
He hugged her carefully not hurting her at any place .
It was intense n soothing for both of them.
He caressed the area near her lip."does it pain" he asked
She nodded a no.she was under the influence of strong pain killers .
Days flew she was recovering she cried every night due to pain but he was always their to sooth her .It was another such day when she got discharged,she tried getting up but it pained with in seconds she was flying in the air in his arms.
"Your pain is not just yours sanyukta its mine too" he chipped
"N yours too "she replied...
