@ bold

One more UNDUE expectation from the show🥱

Lavanya,

This is the thing which i also asked REPEATEDLY during the Atifa track.!!
Is that how, the culprits are caught.?.
What is the need to pretend.? If they are going to show this.?
Is this the method by which the defaulters are nabbed by a person in authority.?
Especially a person who is the Shahenshah of Hindustan.?.
The Emperor has no security system.?No spy system.!

The writers can not think of better ways.!.

PS : Yes, opium feeding was going on, and due to that only this stage has been reached.LOL.

😆😆 Yeah that was one ridiculous track. The emperor would never indulge in such drama, their word used to be final and that's why monarchy and absolute power. The writers made a mockery of it. No security and No spy😆😆 only word of mouth😆😆
Opium is not black colored, but yellowish white😆😆 I am sure they are using chawanprash and calling it opium😆😆. Besides there are immediate side effects ( more so in a child) initially even in opiate based medicines, patients show that. This is another shameful track by the writers.

I would re - iterate the MAIN point again, lest we loose track of it. :)

The post was about the role of Jodha, and we were debating about her "identity" and "stereotypes". I would sum up the points in brief so that they do not get lost in the other points we are discussing.

We were discussing what all the CV's could have shown to us.

While the normal perception of Jodha's identity would come across as that of a "woman" , but she way ahead of this normally accepted definition of a medieval woman.

An "Empress" in every sense and that too a special one. It is NOT easy to carve out one's identity in a NEW household among the previously present wives and coming from a different clan altogether, that too a first woman from her religion, in Agra had it's own disadvantages.!!.

Imagine the place she resided in and the kind of environment she survived. Just imagine even today's scenario. This is now, when we have monogamy and the in-laws are normally known well before marriage.

Contrast this with her case. And see the differences. That was not an age of human rights reforms and monogamy. She was NOT married happily , but she paid a price for the survival of her state. We all saw the conditions of the marriage.

She was some one very special and different to have survived in those conditions. And came out like a diamond out of all this. A fighter who came out strongly out of her past, and moved on to become the Malika-e-Hindustan. A gutsy woman indeed.!!!.

The Creatives of Jodha Akbar have not shown the capability so far to portray her in a manner she was known as.

PS :
The show had a lot of potential, but they lost the chance. Quite Un-fair to REAL HK .!!
Before the show, at least we all knew that Jodha was Akbar's wife. The movie had portrayed it well. But, in addition to it many things could have been shown.

Nothing wrong can be done to Akbar, the world knows him. The potential was lost when it came to Jodha.!!! In every adaptation she is portrayed as a WIFE ONLY, not as an intelligent businesswoman, Haj manager, with proper POWERS of MUZ.!!

Before this, i did not see so many titles for Ruqayya(REEL). Infact no one(not many) knew about her. But after this show, it will appears as if the entire power is in Ruqayya's hand, who did anything in this NR but remained as it is, even the King appeared helpless before her, and the makers have not left even Salima in the experimentation process.!!.

CV's are you listening.?. { Here came the answer> No. We are destroying this show. ;p }

Definitely the circumstances that lead to the alliance must have been harsh and the unfamiliar culture. She must have possessed the skills and competence to carve a niche for herself and this itself speaks volumes about Jodha. This all the more indicates that Jodha must have had those extraordinary qualities because of which she not only overcame the roadblocks but also became a good administrator. This starkly contrasts with accepting life as destiny or fate and wallowing in self pity which is what these soaps propagate.
Well history has been unkind to women, because those times only men used to write so they had the option of distorting or diluting achievements of women.

Just watch the episode. Aaj ka episode miss nahi karna. 👍🏼
I watched the last 1o mins 'by mistake' .
You will surely LIKE it. And if possible see the last 2 episodes.!!!

Friends, Watch it Only Online, don't contribute to TRP's by watching at 8. 🤓
Let them learn some lessons this time for LONG. ;p

Few observations:

1. Salim spoke a PLAIN Lie. Perhaps, he understood that, Ruqayya will be punished, hence he spoke a lie. He was in his senses when he said so and blamed Salima.

2. There is NO Plan of Jalal. He was not pretending.😆. Today it looked clear at least in the limited time i saw the episode.!!.Baaki sab CV's ka nahi pata if they turn him into BOND for 5 minutes like they did in Atifa track. 😕

3. Even Rahim was not pretending. He also believes that Salima did "Afeeming" . 😕

4. Now, next Ruqayya is after Man Singh. She implicated him in an attack on Salim today, though he was defending Salim.

5. Today, Man Singh also sent to Jail. Watch the episode for details.

6. Ruqs' self talk > She wants to eliminate Jodha's influence now. She has removed Salima and Man Singh. Now she wants to do the same with Jodha. LOL.

7. Precap:

Jodha goes to meet Man Singh. Jalal gets thoda sa angry, and says he is gaddar(?) / baagi.

Jodha affirms - She does not believes that Man Singh is a gaddar.
Jalal retorts(in anger) - Don't forget you are Mariam-Uz-Zamani. 😆
Jodha replies(in equal intensity) - Ok, then tell me what are my rights/adhikaars , as i am Mariam-Uz-Zamani . 👏

I liked these last two dialogues of Jodha and Jalal.
I want them to exercise some powers/exchange dialogues, as an Emperor and AN Empress.!!
Let us see what replies Jalal gives.

PS:
I am not interested in any bhandafod at the moment. But i am saying that at least ONCE the EVIL should be exposed. This time it looks possible. Do you need more assurances that this track is for, not only ours, but "everyone's" beloved Ruqs.?. ;p

😆😆So is Jodha gaddar now?Confused So now Jalal wont speak to her or is she also put in Jail? what powers does an MUZ have, did they explain? I highly doubt it😆
Now coming to bhandafod, it may happen to push TRPs. The point is so many bad deeds of Ruq have been revealed in the past too-Murthi thing, Fake pregnancy, KS in harem etc. The important question is will Ruq be punished and whether it will be befitting her crimes?
I doubt whether the punishment would suffice for penitence for the crimes committed -drugging a child, falsely implicating another begum and implicating a navratna as traitor.

Nice summation.!!!.

@Bold...True.. And this is what is a fact too.

Infact when we read an account written by a female, and compare a similar account written by a male. You will find lots of differences. Even today we strive for gender equality, and here we are taking of that age..!!!.

Case in point being the Book of Humayun. There are 2 available, one by Gulbadan Begum(remember, in the show she keeps uttering a trademark dialogue that she is writing HumayunNama? ) , and other account written by other man.

You will find CLEAR authority and stand of women in case of Gulbadan Begum's account, but NOTHING of the sort in the other one..!!. < As you said above..

Yes, Condition of common women was not very good, but that of the Royal Women in Power was much better than what we even think.!!

But here the problem is - the makers are employing the time tested strategy of normal soaps. They perhaps do not think that this show is depicting royalty where the Queens also had say in administration.

Even the show is named "Jodha Akbar" still we do not see them working "together" .!!

True. This Afeeming issue is out of no where, when it comes to negativity then the makers can get any number of ideas.

BTW, don't be surprised if you get to know after few days that Jalal was pretending in this case also. { defying all logics and self talks till now.} LOL.
