Just because mala gave birth and looked after him for 8 years does not mean that Rudr will forgive all her mistakes. Especially the wrong they were doing with the nation. For Rudr country comes first and what thakur and his wife did wife did was against everything he believed in. Good that he took a stand and stood by it.

Superb Update Rithu😊Loved the way you handled mala-Rudra - tejawat story😊
I am also happy because I as of now dont see mala coming in Ranavat haveli in future anytime .. I was worried if there would be more drama coming up and everyone reverting to their older selves (Mohini ,Sumer and even Rudra ) .. but am glad that isnt happening now😊Waiting for the PaRud moments next chapter😉
that is great
Rithu a bown down for the way you have penned down the confrontation between rudra and his mom. Very nice rithu. This is what we expected in the show. The angst and how rudra never gave in and how things could not be sorted by a mere kheer. Poor tejawat was outsmarted and wow sumer really was of use. Finally waiting to see Parud meeting.
Brilliant chapter rithu. Thank you so much. It was a pleasure reading it
This chapter is dedicated to Sushmita and Prabha, two of my readers who have encouraged me from the beginning of this fanfic. Thank you so much, I wouldn't have managed writing so much without your constant support.
Geethanjali was a worried woman as she waited for her husband's return. Her friend, Padmini Sisodia had just informed her that the Shekawat family had left the city as they were threatened by Tejawat. They didn't want to their family involved with a girl who had a terrorist on her tail. She knew that Paro wasn't interested in marrying the doctor but it bothered her that her niece's life was in constant danger. "I'm so sorry Geethu. I got delayed at work and my phone's battery died. Else I would have called and informed. Please don't be upset," her husband apologised assuming his tardiness to be the cause for his wife's anxiety. She shook her head and told him why she was worried. They both wondered whether Paro will ever have a home of her own. She updated him on what her friend had told her. The general asked her to call back and find out from what number Tejawat called from. Maybe it might help track his current whereabouts. He heard a jeep pull up and went to the window. He was glad to see Rudra step out. He immediately went out and told him, "Major Ranavat, I'm glad to see you. You have to get back to headquarters. There is a new lead I want you to pursue and catch that Tejawat. He has started to interfere..." Rudra interrupted, "Sir, I want to talk to you about Paro." The general sighed dejectedly. He didn't know how to get his best officer to focus on the case that was affecting his niece's future. "Sir, I don't want to go back to headquarters when my heart is stuck here" the young man said looking up, his eyes searching the upstairs window for a glimpse of the one who had captured it. So h we was right, the officer had developed a soft corner for the girl. But they didn't have time to explore that possibility when there was a smuggler on the loose. "I have told you before, Rudra. You are not to come here until you catch Tejawat" his boss reminded him. VK Singh had never seen his face glow with pride as he told him that the smuggler was now in custody along with his henchmen. "Can we now talk about Paro?" he asked.
In her bedroom in Jaipur, she waited. The scent of roses wafted in bringing every memory of her own rose, her lover of many layers and vibrant colors. She smiled remembering his face, blushed remembering his touch and trembled as his voice reverberated through her soul. She heard a car pull up and sighed. She didn't want to go down meet anyone. She was content to stay here where her dreams and memories of her Rudra surrounded her. They gave her hope that her story which was penned by Bholenath will have a happy ending. She gently caressed the ruby bangles he got her thinking of him repeating her words about marital bliss. He didn't repeat it verbatim. She had told him that it signifies a promise made by a man to his bride that he will fill her life with the colours of his love. If he was making that promise it means he should be the groom waiting for her at the mantap not any other man. She remembered the day in the desert when he confessed that he wanted to spend his life with her. He had placed his heart at her feet and saying that he wanted to be Paro's Rudra. She couldn't say yes then because she had assumed that she was taking him away from someone else. Now she knew better, he loved her and she loved him back with all her heart. She couldn't tell him that because of her mistake of inviting an alliance from the Sisodia family. But she will fix it tonight and everything will be the way it is supposed to be. It was her turn to proclaim to the world that she was Rudra's Paro. Aman bhaisa was right, there is nothing wrong with being honest about your feelings. Maybe the Mrs. Sisodia might understand that her heart is set on her Jallad. If all goes well she can declare her love to him as soon as their guests leave. She wondered if she could climb out of the window like he did or she should just ask him to come. Her uncle won't approve of her sneaking out.
Geethanjali was surprised to find the general escorting Rudra to their hall. Shouldn't they be heading back to headquarters? "Tell me Rudra? What do you want to talk about Paro?" he asked offering him a seat. "I have won several victories in my BSD career. I have been rewarded with medals and awards for them. But for this mission there is only one thing I want, Paro's hand in marriage. Sir, I love your niece will all my heart. I know I have a quick temper but as my father says she is like a temperate stream of water that cools the torrid desert in me. She brings out the best of me as a son, a brother and as an officer. I promise you I will be a wonderful husband to her and fill her life with every happiness that she had ever dreamed of. Sir, Ma'am, as she considers you her family, I would like your blessing before talking to her," he told the dumbstruck couple. Geethanjali was so pleased, his words won her approval. She never knew the boy who would once stay away from women would be standing in front of her asking for Paro's hand. And the general was pleased too, this was better than he ever hoped for. So it wasn't just an attraction towards the damsel in distress who brought out the hero in him. Rudra truly cared about her. He was a man of his word who will take good care of his niece. He embraced the young man, "If this is what Paro wants for herself, I gladly support this."
Paro had stopped looking at the clock in her room. It had been half an hour since their guests had arrived. They must have exchanged pleasantries by now. She felt Rudra's presence strengthening her resolve. She wore the bangles he had brought for her. With a prayer on her lip, she walked out of her room. He saw her come down, his radiant bride dressed in a coral saree she looked like a princess dressed by the sea gods with all their glittering jewels. Her ruby necklace didn't do justice to her slender, swan-like neck and her earrings dangled on earlobes which beckoned to be kissed. And a hair ornament covered her maang which he longed to fill and claim her as his own forever. The bangles on her delicate wrists were an indication that this time she won't protest, he smiled to himself remembering the last time he accidently did that and calls her Parvati Rudra Pratap Ranavat.
She slowed down her gait as she saw him standing in the hall with her aunt and uncle. She was surprised to see him instead of the Sisodia family. But his face was unreadable. She couldn't fathom what he was thinking about. She knew he was upset about the whole Sisodia fiasco. But she would fix everything and bring a smile on his face. He knew that his grim face was affecting her and waited to see what she had to say. He realised that she had been trying to say something for awhile now. He would be fine with a simple 'I love you' and a hug. Maybe the god he was named after would finally give her the chance to say that. She took a deep breathe and with a clear voice said, " Rudra Pratap Ranavat, I believe that our fates have been decided the day we met at the bus stop. I believe that you were the answer to all my prayers to Bholenath when I asked for a groom with his traits. I believe that destiny made you save me for a reason at the border. Because wherever I turn I always end coming back to you. So now I want to stop playing this chor police game. And..." He interrupted to make sure he was the police and she was the thief. She agreed as her loved ones looked on wondering what were the young lovers were talking about. "So I can arrest you?" he asked. She agreed. "I can tie you up to my jeep and then lock you up in my room?" His words were rewarded with a silent nod. "You won't be allowed to step out of the house or show your face to anyone" he told her. Her aunt and uncle were getting restless as to what happened to the man who just promised to take care of their niece. "The world will treat you as the Jallad's wife. Do you agree to my conditions?" She said yes. "Lastly when I hold you by your hand and drag you about, you shouldn't ask questions", he placed his final condition to her. She didn't say word but just held out her right hand, the one he always held her by. He took off the rudraskh bracelet from his wrist and tied it around her. "What are you doing this is for your protection," she asked. He gently placed a kiss on her palm and held it with both hands and said, "My life, heart and my soul are in your keeping. And as long as Paro breathes, her Rudra will live. This rudraskh is right where it is supposed to be." He walked her towards the door when she stops him, "Where are you taking me?" He reminded her that she agreed to come without any questions. "Rudra, it's late. Whatever it is, can wait till tomorrow" said the general. He replied, "You're right Sir. It's already late. But someone has been waiting for since Shivratri for this." On her silent question he added, "Your Bholenath".
The general and his wife wondered where Rudra was taking their niece this late. He knew that his intentions were honourable but what was so important that it couldn't wait till the morning. He also wanted to get back to headquarters where Tejawat was being questioned. But something about the young man's demeanour made him follow the major's jeep. The Jallad neither bothered to explain his hurry nor did he wait for them to join him, as he drove off with his prize. He passed the road that lead to Chandangarh, his home. Where was he taking her?
