I'm probably in the minority here, but I was least looking forward to Karthi-Poo union. Mainly because, I never related to the character of Karthi, and now I don't relate to Poo's character either.
I've always had an issue with Karthi because it has always been too much about his issues, his concerns, and his wishes. Even when he was chasing Poo earlier, he didn't really care about what Poo thought. He was more than happy to know that Sara had no feelings towards Poo (though Sara faked it) and was happy to continue going after Poo.
Now I'm not here to discuss about Poo-Sara. They were done long time ago and there's no point in talking about them.
My main issue now is that there has been no change in Karthi's behaviour overall. From the start until now, it's still about "I, Me, Myself" for him. Even when he took Poo to Kolkata in order to find Sara, he never considered what Poo might think about this. Yes, Poo was silent throughout. However, just because he's the husband it doesn't really give him the right to decide what's best without consulting with Poo. Especially because it concerns her life as well. Her silence does not mean an automatic yes.
And then after they returned home, Poo had accepted him. However, he was still determined to push forward his ideals. Due to all this, I'm not at all convinced with his behaviour now. The way his character has remained stagnant, I don't see any change in his attitude even now after he has accepted Poo.
But worse than Karthi, I feel disappointed that Poo's character has been butchered to a great extent. She was one of the best characters in VR. Unfortunately, her character assassination started when she agreed to Sara's stupid conditions. Furthermore, I feel that her character had been reduced to the same level as Karthi so that they can easily pair them up. Otherwise, the old Poo would've been too good for him.
Some may argue that Poo has matured from the impulsive girl to a composed one. However, 'maturing' doesn't change one's overall qualities.
The Poo I once loved had strong morals and ethics, and was ready to stick to her convictions. She was impulsive, yes, but she had a clear judgment of things. They could've avoided marriage for the time being, and instead show her as an independent woman. Her character would've started to transition into something better had she not agreed to Sara's conditions and agreed to marry Karthi.
But it's too late now. I can only say about what could've been a beautiful development. Unfortunately, her character is beyond repair now.
Anyhow, with this must waited union, I hope we get to see character developments and less of family drama. Next drama seems to be about Rajesh and Selvi🥱.
