Saurabh Tewari's Star Plus show to be based on 'The Breakfast Club'; Qubool Hai fame Surbhi Chandana to play the female lead?

Saurabh Tewari is presently working on a unique concept for Star Plus, for which popular actors Drashti Dhami and Sanaya Irani were considered to play the lead role. And now, it looks as though the channel and maker have decided to rope in a fresher face to portray the female protagonist.
News coming in suggests that Surbhi Chandana, who essays the very important role of Haya, the deaf and dumb girl in Zee TV's Qubool Hai, might in all probability edge past the experienced faces of Sanaya and Drashti as the lead on the show.
Says a source, "Though Surbhi has not signed on the dotted lines, her look tests have been very much appreciated by the channel and maker. And if all goes well, she would be seen as the central face."
Coming to the concept of the show, a reliable insider confides in us that Saurabh Tewari is recreating the magic of the 1985 English classic, The Breakfast Club which will present the tale of five high school students, all with different stereotypes and ideologies, meeting at a detention centre, only to pour their hearts out to each other and discover how they have a lot more in common than they had thought.
However, a certain entertainment forum had recently reported about Saurabh's show dealing with the life of a boy and a girl in college, and how they get married and have a kid even while studying.
Contrary to this report, we have got to know that this news is completely baseless, and this concept is not the show to be produced by Saurabh Tewari.
Instead, this concept is being produced by Gul Khan and Gorky's 4 Lions Films for Star Plus.
Our source further states, "Both Saurabh and Gul are producing a show each for Star Plus. Both their concepts are interesting and unique. As of now, there seems to be a competition between Gul's show and that of Saurabh's to get a launch date on Star Plus. And the show which would get its leads first, and would go on floor first might in all probability get launched first."
As reported in media, Saurabh Tewari has got his male lead in Pearl V Puri, who was seen in Sony TV's Dil Ki Nazar Se... Khoobsurat. And it looks like he has also bagged his female lead in the promising young girl, Surbhi Chandana.
