Ye zulf agar khul ke bikhar jaaye to achha
Is raat ki taqdeer sanwar jaaye to achha

Jis tarah se thodi si tere saath kati hai
Baaki bhi is tarah guzar jaaye to achha

Duniya ki nigaahon mein bhala kya hai bura kya
Ye bojh agar dil se utar jaaye to achha

Waise to tum hi ne mujhe barbaad kiya hai
Ilzaam kisi aur ke sar aaye to achha.

translation...
if only these tresses of yours are unbound and free
if only this night's fate changed
the first two lines indicate a symbolic meaning- life is tangled and bound like a plait (of the lover the poet is addressing),the poet wishes it could be untangled and freed
and wishes for his loneliness which is like the dark night to end
just as your presence temporarily held me
if only it would hold me my all life
the said lover had once been the poets support and strength
he wishes to live with those memories forever indicate either the lover is no more or has left him betrayed
what the world would say of rights and wrongs
if only this burden would lessen
the poet condemns himself and the world for its views on right and wrong bcoz those views make him feel guilty and burdened both by the past and his inability to let go of it even though he should
yes you have destroyed me
if only i could blame some one else
the poet finally agrees the his lover had destroyed him(intentional or no) but laments if it were only someone else.
********
well i tried dont know how good the interpretation is

thank you for posting it..

yes, this might be the hint relating to sahir's past...
the last line tells a lot about his past...his wife must have betrayed and destroyed him making him live in grief ...interesting!.. lets wait and watch for it
