Fairy Tale is usually perceived as a princess in dismal waiting for a prince to come and rescue her ... or a guy and girl falling in love magically and living happily ever after ... but it is also the concept of two souls bound by destiny whose separate paths cross eventually to make them on!
The third kind of fairy tale is the one most of us get to live ... partly any ways ... when we meet that someone with whom we spend the rest of our lives with. It is not necessary that its a guaranteed happily ever after ... life is a continued struggle and some of us only find our fairy tale meets its perfect end in 2nd, even 3rd attempt!
I have seen a lot of hue and cry that why Sahir is married ... frankly this is the first time in forever that I am looking forward to the show ever since it started ... reason? At least here the male lead seems to have a reason for his behaviour with the FL, there seems to be a proper heart breaking story behind Sahir Azeem Chaudry and its' not based purely on his ego, as is usually the case with most heroes!
People complain that they expect a fairy tale and he should have one love only ... but thing is to love is one thing, to find real love is another! We don't even know his back story yet ... and frankly that is the most intriguing part, if they handle it well may be it will wipe away all the blunders they have made till date! What is important is not whether its' first love, 2nd love or 3rd love what makes it a fairy tale is how that love brings two people together to become one!
The Dargah baba ji has already established that Sahir's pain is greater than arzoo's ... Arzoo has been established as the light in his dark life from day one ... the one who broke through the shell he had build around him to protect himself and others from further hurt ... If you notice Sahir hasn't been a typical male lead, except for that one factory incident he hasn't been ruthless either ... he is someone who minds his own business, is extremely composed, he only lets his guard down when he is alone, he does not make decisions based on ego be it retaining arzoo or giving a second chance to Sarfraz and Anam, he cares for the people that matter in his life be it Alvira, Kurti apa and Zaki! He hasn't hit arzoo or been unfair to her till date, in fact he did not let his ego get the better of him even when she wrote that extremely rude resignation letter! He has been anything BUT a typical, rude, arrogant male lead!
He is undone by his past ... he is in pain ... turned into this dark person who intrigues you ... you want to know more about him ... you cant help but ask why? And I feel that is where this particular fairy tale will be different (fingers crossed)
So whether Arzoo becomes his 2nd love or 3rd is not what will decide the fate of this particular tale ... but the fact that how a girl will bring light into a man's life who has nothing but darkness all around him, which in all probability is mainly due to his first wife! A light he will desperately try to push away because of his own demons ... but a light that will eventually find its place in the heart of her soul mate, turning the darkness into sunshine! There you have it ... a perfect fairy tale though not a typical one ... For once its' the princess who has arrived to save the prince from the clutches of despair and darkness
So gear up for an exciting ride ... and some brilliant acting!!!
P.S1: I don't believe he still loves his first wife, else this story of Arzoo and Sahir won't work
P.S 2: I don't believe he will commit adultery
P.S 3: I don't believe the "S" in Humsafars is meant for the fact that Sahir will have two humsafars it stands for Sahir + Arzoo only 😆
So sit back and enjoy the ride!
P.S 4: Prabho 4 Lions dare not disappoint us again, all the inconsistencies, bad scripting and poor production quality in the show so far were enough to last a life time, now pull up your socks and deliver on the promise! 🤔
