Thing is we are assuming a lot of things even before we know his past story ... there is nothing wrong in a second marriage, they happen all the time ... what was wrong with Sarfraz's second marriage was the reason he did it because he wanted a son ... here Sahir's first marriage could have a genuine reason for not working out ... nikkah is legally possible because it is an Islamic BG show and Islamic Marriage laws apply here ... all I am saying is it is our assumption that he still loves her ... I feel he doesn't because if he still loves his first wide, the concept of Humsafars would be all but lost!

Interesting post, Nads. Call me pragmatic, but I don't believe much in the soulmates concept. I understand where a lot many of the members are coming from. We've all been fed on the fairy tales of knights in shining armors rescuing the fair maidens. And they live happily ever after. There isn't always a happy ever after. In real life, people do sometimes find love and happiness the second time around.

The issue for me regarding Saahir being married (if he is married... why is quite possible given the henna-ed hands in the burning pics), is that it would amount to cheating. All said and done, he is still married to the first wife. And whether emotionally or otherwise, he would be cheating on the first wife. No amount of justification that he never loved her, or she has been invalid for years, works. Anyway, I am not going to get ahead here. Will see how this plays out.

I watched a desi show long back where the man hid his marital status from the girl, up until she was heads over heels in love with him. The defense that the wife had left him for dead did not work... he was still married to her. And to justify it all, they turned the first wife to trigger-happy psycho. That was extremely disappointing. Hope there is no repeat of that here.

The writers may have an interesting story here if they play it right. For a change, the secret is out in the open BEFORE the leads fell in love.

In any case I agree that first love need not be the only soulmate you can find.. Thinking practically people should be able to move on in life and find happiness how many ever tries it takes!

Here Sahir-Arzoo love will be real love because they are promoted as leads. that is why I'm confident and watching even if I feel disappointed with inconsistence story. whatever be the track in the end these two will be united without any legal problem.

because of too much blunder in the past episodes we are left clueless about future track.
