Cash may not hit the theatres this Friday. Sohail Maklai, who owns the rights of the title of film, is yet to submit the required documents to the Censor Board. If Maklai fails does not comply with the procedure by today afternoon, the film's release will get delayed. Maklai had filed a case against Seven Entertainment, alleging that they had failed to comply with the agreement and give him credit as producer. But according to Anish Ranjan of Seven Entertainment, after the arbitration order was passed on July 16, all hoardings and print publicity have Maklai's name on it as producer. He alleged that Maklai was trying to sabotage the film's release. According to him, they have already lost Rs 7 crore, even before the film's release. According to him, Maklai is liable for losses as per the agreement but he does not want to own up to it. The only way to recover the losses is to release the film. So the film's fate gets decided today. |
