Parenting is a hard task and it is the responsibility of both parents. Ideally children try to ape what their parents does. Raj-Sakshi didn't seem to have a working marriage. Raj blames Sakshi for any misbehavior of Shaurya. To the extent he blames her for not giving a worthy heir. So Shaurya might have grown up listening to these spats between parents one down grading the other. He might have grown up seeing his father using his mother so naturally he can also use mother.
Sakshi on the other hand tried to control him was over protective and tried to cover up his mistakes thinking he will be good one day. But more things were covered up he got more bolder. Now this guy is beyond correction. This happens everytime you cover up.
Suchitra has nurtured Dev well. His gray shades are tempered by the way she has bought him up. The fact he respects her and idolizes his father had made him not to cross any boundary that will put his parents to shame. Most importantly Suchitra had given him one important lesson. To own responsibility for one's action. We never see Dev running away in a given situation. He faces the situation head on. Even when the gunda says keep your eyes low he keeps it straight. That can come only when you are confident you have not done anything wrong. That confidence Suchitra had build in him in the right way.
