Especially with her stupid name changing zidd

What the hell is her problem, bunty is not going to be her "little boy" forever

I understand her fear of bunty turning into another pappu but if she

Trusts her upbringing and her teachings and love then why is she doing all this drama

She claims to love him but can't see him have a happy life with his wife?

I hope her character does not drop any lower

Keeping amma with this moody nonsense way is making me dislike her so far

I hope it doesn't turn into hate 😕

Agree with you, Amma is shown as an insecure, attention-seeking, egoistical and illogical mother who wants to control the lives of Bunty and his wife. There is no compassion, love or selflessness shown in her which is generally shown in a stereotypical Indian mother and she is doing this just because she dislikes Sagz..

I hate her character, especially since she knows Bunty stupidly said he would not proceed with consummation of marriage till she whole-heartedly accepts Sagz, despite that she cares two hoots about this, she is so callous and indifferent!

One thing I did not understand that why Ammaji is insecure in the first place?

She has got love marriage that too eloped with Babuji😆. Her MIL left her husband and staying with her son for the sake and happiness of Son and DIL. All the children are obedient including Pappu. Though Pappu is Joru ka Gulam but he tries to make Rani do house hold duties (May be for his own benefit what so ever). Her house is run under her control. Still😕

Agreed. Look at her now, she won't go to Sags place just because they are not vegetarian. Ammaji's whole inner self should be cleaned with the detergent, Her heart is so full of dirt but she has to say that to Sags Dad. 😡

I don't understand why Sags was so quiet, she should voice out her opinion.

Amma is behaving childishly. If she actually sits down puts her Ego on the side and think what she is doing, she will be extremely embarrassed at her behavior but right now her Ego is a barrier to her common sense.

The typical Indian MIL Ammaji is quite a complicated person.too aggressively involved in her son's life with his wife ?!

Building a relationship with her is a PROCESS and you have no choice but to be patient !Your efforts will eventually pay off because in Indian families, respect is earned from the elders, not just simply given for free !

In India dealing with MIL is a completely different ball game ! In every occasion they have a certain role to play ,most of the times they prefer to play a negative role !!The concept of boundaries do NOT exist in Indian families. When you marry a person you marry the whole family ! At times I feel ,marriage is a hard test to pass ,marriage is a rigid phase which needs a great deal of effort to surpass...whenever we want to escape ,we will find ourselves in that breath taking entanglements !Love to be there ...but always leaving ourselves behind ...a paradox , always in a potentially serious conflict in every woman's life !

We know that woman is the enemy of woman, it's so true in HHN, Ammaji doesn't like Sags so she is finding all the excuses to put her down not realizing that she might loose her son in the process.
