What is emotionally exhaustive for us might not be for others who are we to judge.

In olden times woman didnt hav a choice they were basically objects to be bartered from one family to other...no one has ever asked were our grandmothers really happy ?

Wen both ganders have a choice and economic independence thn def they will be more choosy divorce will increase I dont consider tht a bad thing...atleast it will make people cautious to choose right partner

She knows this oath of celibacy by Bunty is going to lead to marital problems between Bunty-Sags and then she will add fuel to the fire by mistreating and insulting Sags at every chance she gets.

Eventually Sags will get sick and tired of the Momma's boy puppet son Bunty and his evil Momma's daily bashing and she will go back to her maayka (Ammaji is praying everyday for this to happen)

Then Ammaji will get their marriage annulled (not consummated marriages can be easily annulled)

And then she will grin showing all her 32 teeth and get Bunty married to her favorite Daayan Satya. 😆

Actually in the earlier days, there had been several instances of estrangement and separation but seldom got reported owing to certain dogmatic approach of the society. But , with economic and social independence and gender equality ,coupled with awareness of several legal clauses in the present day , we are getting more information of several unfortunate incidences of divorces.
